The Balearic labor market registered a notable boost in October in some of its main economic sectors, especially those linked to mass consumption. According to data published Wednesday by the InfoJobs platform, 4,345 job vacancies<\/strong> were posted in the Balearic Islands, representing a year-on-year increase of 16.5%<\/strong>. However, compared to September, offers fell by 17.8%<\/strong>, with 943 fewer vacancies. <\/p>\n

Logistics and customer service lead growth<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The purchasing, logistics and warehousing<\/strong> and customer service<\/strong> categories have grown the most compared to last year, with increases of 59% and 70%<\/strong>, respectively. Both reflect the momentum of the large-scale consumer campaigns and the reinforcement of the workforce in preparation for the end of the year. <\/p>\n

Overall, the logistics, sales, customer service and retail<\/strong> sectors accounted for 46% of the total number of vacancies published in the Balearic Islands in October<\/strong>, with a distribution of 15% in logistics and warehousing, 15% in commercial and sales, 10% in customer service and 6% in retail.<\/p>\n

The most sought-after positions: delivery drivers, sales clerks and sales delegates<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The most offered jobs in the Islands were those of delivery vehicle driver<\/strong>, with 519 vacancies<\/strong> , sales clerk<\/strong>, with 365<\/strong>, and sales representative<\/strong>, with 192.<\/strong> These three profiles, closely linked to consumption and distribution, also stand out for their evolution compared to 2024: the first has doubled its numbers<\/strong>, while the other two grew by 20% and 3%<\/strong>, respectively. <\/p>\n

More candidates in customer service and sales<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The categories with the highest volume of applications were customer service<\/strong>, with 2,558 candidates<\/strong>, and sales and commercial,<\/strong> with 1,145.<\/strong> They were followed by purchasing, logistics and warehousing<\/strong> (909) and retail<\/strong> (904). <\/p>\n

In addition, the quality, production and R&D<\/strong> category stands out for its dynamism, with a 72% increase<\/strong> in vacancies compared to 2024 and more than 600 offers accumulated<\/strong> so far this year. This area has 466 applications registered in 2025<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Predominance of permanent contracts and full time contracts<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Among the vacancies published, 2,076 offered permanent contracts<\/strong>, representing 48%<\/strong> of those reporting the type of contract. Temporary contracts<\/strong> accounted for 22%<\/strong> (943 positions). <\/p>\n

In terms of working hours, the majority of the offers, 67%<\/strong>, were full-time<\/strong>, compared to 16%<\/strong> that offered part-time work.<\/p>\n

Stable trend in Spain as a whole<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the national level, InfoJobs registered 239,603 vacancies in October<\/strong>, a figure practically identical to that of a year earlier (241,022), but 5% higher than in September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purchasing, logistics and warehouse (18%)<\/strong>, commercial and sales (14%)<\/strong>, customer service (9.5%)<\/strong> and retail (4%)<\/strong> sectors accounted for 45.5% of the offers<\/strong> published nationwide.<\/p>\n

The most in-demand positions were tele-operator (<\/strong> almost 18,000 vacancies), delivery driver (<\/strong> 17,350) and warehouse worker<\/strong> (17,000).<\/p>\n

A total of 38.8% of the vacancies<\/strong> offered permanent contracts, while temporary contracts<\/strong> accounted for 30%<\/strong>. In addition, 65.5% of the vacancies were full-time<\/strong>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
