According to neighborhood sources, <strong>no objects were stolen from the vehicles<\/strong>, which reinforces the hypothesis that it was <strong>a purely destructive action, carried out at night. <\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>On social networks, the images of the vandalized cars disseminated by a neighbor, <strong>Carmen Damaschin<\/strong>, unleashed a wave of indignant comments on the local Facebook group. Some users lamented that &#8220;<strong>Sant Ferran is no longer like it used to be<\/strong>&#8220;, while others demanded &#8220;<strong>taking justice into our own hands<\/strong>&#8221; or denounced the &#8220;<strong>police inaction<\/strong>&#8220;. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/el-alcohol-y-la-droga-los-ponen-asi-un-comerciante-de-formentera-alerta-del-descontrol-juvenil-en-sant-ferran\/\">&#8220;Alcohol and drugs make them like this&#8221;: a Formentera merchant warns of the lack of youth control in Sant Ferran<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>&#8220;Five cars blown up and no one saw anything.&#8221;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In a post that went viral, user <strong>Pili Alonso Mella<\/strong> explained that &#8220;<strong>five cars were blown up in the dirt parking lot<\/strong>&#8221; and questioned the lack of police presence. &#8220;Where are the security forces in those moments?&#8221; she wrote. <\/p>\n<p>The subsequent messages reflect <strong>a growing climate of discontent and insecurity<\/strong>. &#8220;<strong>This is uncontrollable, there are only miscreants with evil<\/strong>&#8220;, &#8220;<strong>it is a shame, the authorities still do nothing<\/strong>&#8220;, or &#8220;<strong>video surveillance cameras now<\/strong>&#8221; were some of the most repeated. <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Guardia Civil and the local police<\/strong> have been alerted and have launched an investigation, as reported by the <em>Formentera News<\/em> site. <g id=\"gid_2\">No arrests have been made<\/g> so far. Sources of the <strong>Consell Insular de Formentera<\/strong> consulted by <strong>La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong> <strong>have so far offered no statements<\/strong> on this new incident.  <\/p>\n<h2><strong>A worsening problem: insecurity and unfulfilled promises<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Just two weeks ago, the <strong>Consell de Formentera<\/strong> admitted the existence of &#8220;<strong>numerous complaints of insecurity in Sant Ferran<\/strong>&#8221; and promised to act &#8220;imminently&#8221;. President \u00d3scar Portas assured then that they were working &#8220;in coordination with the Guardia Civil to restore normality&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>The climate of tension even extended to the school environment of <strong>CEIP Sant Ferran<\/strong>, where APIMA warned weeks ago that &#8220;<strong>three or four people make the school environment dangerous<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Neighborhood indignation and demands for action<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The event has rekindled the feeling of <strong>impunity and lack of protection<\/strong> in the town. &#8220;<strong>Madre m\u00eda, qu\u00e9 desprotecci\u00f3n hay<\/strong>,&#8221; wrote one user.
