According to the union, the unfulfilled promises and the lack of effective measures continue to seriously affect <strong data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"941\">health transport<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"947\" data-end=\"969\">health personnel<\/strong> in the Pitiusas. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1497\">UGT recalls that last <strong data-start=\"1017\" data-end=\"1034\">October 15<\/strong>, the councilor and the general director of the Servei de Salut, <strong data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1109\">Javier Ure\u00f1a<\/strong>, announced the arrival of <strong data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1171\">246 new health vehicles<\/strong> for the entire community, ensuring that the fleet<strong> would be renewed in November, after having already delayed the process since September<\/strong>. warns UGT. <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3255\" data-end=\"3324\">80% of the workforce is unable to drive the new ambulances<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3326\" data-end=\"3559\">Another problem pointed out by the union is that <strong data-start=\"3385\" data-end=\"3480\">80% of the scheduled medical transport personnel cannot drive the new vehicles<\/strong>, as they <strong data-start=\"3495\" data-end=\"3520\">require a C license<\/strong> due to their weight of <strong data-start=\"3541\" data-end=\"3556\">4,000 kilos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3561\" data-end=\"3802\">Councilor Garcia has attributed this situation to the previous government, but UGT describes the argument as &#8220;<strong data-start=\"3674\" data-end=\"3686\">ridiculous<\/strong>&#8220;, recalling that the current administration &#8220;<strong data-start=\"3730\" data-end=\"3798\">has been responsible for the design and acquisition of the vehicles<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3804\" data-end=\"4191\">In addition, the union denounces that <strong data-start=\"3838\" data-end=\"3873\">the improvised modifications<\/strong> in ambulances -such as the <strong data-start=\"3902\" data-end=\"3939\">elimination of hydraulic ramps<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"3944\" data-end=\"3969\">reduction of seats<\/strong> or the <strong data-start=\"3975\" data-end=\"4031\">removal of ergonomic and safety devices-<\/strong>could have <strong data-start=\"4047\" data-end=\"4117\">serious consequences for the safety of workers and patients<\/strong>, in addition to generating an <strong data-start=\"4140\" data-end=\"4164\">economic overrun<\/strong> for the public coffers.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"4198\" data-end=\"4240\">&#8220;The professionals are not available.&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4242\" data-end=\"4464\">UGT calls for <strong data-start=\"4254\" data-end=\"4313\">immediate action and greater dialogue with the social partners<\/strong>, demanding that Councilor Garcia &#8220;<strong data-start=\"4353\" data-end=\"4387\">stop acting unilaterally<\/strong>&#8221; and convene a <strong data-start=\"4404\" data-end=\"4427\">negotiating table<\/strong> with representatives of the sector.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4468\" data-end=\"4803\">&#8220;Professionals were not involved in the design of the vehicles, they are not consulted on the elimination of essential mechanisms or on the necessary training measures.
