data-end=\"1093\">Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO)<\/strong> must develop the project <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1153\">before the end of data-start=\"1239\" data-end=\"1525\">This has been confirmed by the <strong data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1288\">City Council of Ibiza<\/strong>, which has transferred to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/\">La Voz de Ibiza<\/a><\/strong> that &#8220;the Ministry has the project on the table and must develop it before next year, even if it is not 100% financed with <em>Next Generation<\/em> funds, aims to <strong data-start=\"1603\" data-end=\"1666\">regulate the anchoring of boats in Talamanca Bay<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1669\" data-end=\"1716\">protect the Posidonia oceanica meadows<\/strong>, declared a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1758\">The General Subdirectorate of Terrestrial and Marine Biodiversity has confirmed to <strong>La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong> &#8220;that, indeed, these projects for the installation of buoys for ecological anchoring have been drafted at the initiative of the General Directorate of Biodiversity, Forests and Desertification of the MITECO&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1758\">Although they have not responded whether this project will be ready for next summer.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"1802\">A project years behind schedule<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"2108\">The Talamanca buoy field is part of the plan of nine ecological anchoring areas promoted by the <strong data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1966\">Balearic Government&#8217;s Department of the Sea and Water Cycle and<\/strong> managed by <strong data-start=\"1984\" data-end=\"1996\">Ports IB<\/strong>, which expects its implementation before the summer of 2026 if the environmental and bidding deadlines are met.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2110\" data-end=\"2351\">The Ministry, which assumed the drafting of the project after a transfer of authority from Ports IB, has accumulated several delays in its processing, which has generated concern in the City Council of Ibiza and the regional administration.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_118345\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-118345\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption meeting, in which he highlighted the &#8220;<strong data-start=\"3638\" data-end=\"3663\">absolute collaboration<\/strong>&#8221; of the Merchant Marine.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3696\" data-end=\"3744\">At stake: financing and coastal model<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3746\" data-end=\"4018\">The City Council warns that the execution of the project is subject to <strong data-start=\"3815\" data-end=\"3839\">very tight deadlines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3746\" data-end=\"4018\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"3844\" data-end=\"3970\">If the timetable is not met, MITECO will lose European funding and other sources of financing would have to be sought<\/strong>,&#8221; Triguero said in recent statements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"3746\" data-start=\"4020\" data-end=\"4234\">This is precisely one of the battles to be fought next season: the <em>party boats, <\/em>although this term does not legally exist, but they are &#8220;marine excursions&#8221;. For that reason, they are planning strong measures, including their prohibition in case the buoy field is not ready. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4236\" data-end=\"4528\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"4237\" data-end=\"4309\">They are not the tourist model we want for Ibiza<\/strong>. They generate dirt and pressure on the coast,&#8221; warned the mayor. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4236\" data-end=\"4528\">However, from the <strong>Conselleria del Mar y Ciclo del Agua<\/strong> have explained that<strong>&#8220;the City Council can not prohibit free anchoring<\/strong>, since anchoring with anchor on sand is legal as long as it is done outside the areas marked out for bathing&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4236\" data-end=\"4528\">&#8220;What the City Council can do is to manage these marked areas &#8211; which are delimited to ensure the safety of bathers &#8211; but it has no authority to restrict free anchoring in the rest of the area,&#8221; they have clarified.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"4535\" data-end=\"4588\">Ibiza, as part of the plan for nine buoy fields<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"4590\" data-end=\"4850\"><strong data-start=\"4596\" data-end=\"4609\">Talamanca<\/strong> is one of the <strong data-start=\"4624\" data-end=\"4659\">nine regulated anchorage fields<\/strong> planned in the Balearic Islands for the 2026 season, along with those of <strong data-start=\"4723\" data-end=\"4796\">Benirr\u00e0s, Cala Bassa, Cala Salada, Cala Vedella, Es Xarco and Portinatx<\/strong> in Ibiza, and two others in the rest of the archipelago.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4852\" data-end=\"5189\">Once completed, all will be <strong data-start=\"4885\" data-end=\"4913\">managed by Ports IB<\/strong> at the same public rates set in Law 11\/1988 of the CAIB.
