The Consell Insular de Formentera<\/strong> has launched this Friday, from early in the morning, a special device<\/strong> to remove the remains of the boat Helisara VI<\/strong>, destroyed by the strong storm<\/strong> that hit the island yesterday.<\/p>\n

The action, coordinated by the Environment Area<\/strong> and executed by the company Prezero<\/strong>, focuses on cleaning the wood and materials<\/strong> washed ashore, combining manual work and specialized machinery<\/strong> in order to ensure maximum efficiency.<\/p>\n

The mythical Helisara VI<\/strong>, a 23-meter sailboat<\/strong> that once belonged to the famous Austrian conductor Herbert von Karajan <\/strong>. The boat ran aground on August 14, 2024<\/strong>, during a DANA that fully affected the Natural Park of Ses Salines<\/strong>, and since then remained abandoned on the coast<\/strong>, exposed to deterioration and successive storms.<\/p>\n
