His concern is not semantic: the image of an exclusive island can distort the message of a destination that, in reality, <strong data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1393\">lives from diversity and accessibility<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1596\">The growth of luxury does not imply elitization of the destination, the president stresses, but &#8220;<strong data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1592\">an improvement in service and facilities to respond to an increasingly demanding client<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1603\" data-end=\"1637\"><strong data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1637\">Modernize without eliticizing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1639\" data-end=\"2058\">The rise of high-end hotels in Sant Josep or Santa Eul\u00e0ria has coincided with a general process of <strong data-start=\"1745\" data-end=\"1784\">modernization of the hotel industry<\/strong> in Pitiusa. Many establishments have refurbished their facilities or upgraded their category to <g id=\"gid_1\">remain competitive<\/g> with emerging destinations. But Costa insists: &#8220;<strong data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"1990\">Modernizing is not eliticizing<\/strong>, it is adapting to new standards of quality and sustainability.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2060\" data-end=\"2351\">In practice, the sector is committed to a <strong data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2119\">quiet luxury<\/strong>, based on wellness, local gastronomy and personalized attention. &#8220;<strong data-start=\"2198\" data-end=\"2257\">Ibiza does not need more places, but better experiences<\/strong>,&#8221; summarizes a businessman consulted by this newspaper, in line with the discourse of the federation.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2627\" data-end=\"2662\"><strong data-start=\"2634\" data-end=\"2662\">The risk of the label<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2664\" data-end=\"3084\">The federation warns that <strong data-start=\"2698\" data-end=\"2736\">identifying Ibiza only with luxury<\/strong> can have counterproductive effects: <strong data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2810\">increase average prices<\/strong>, exclude certain audiences and reinforce the perception of saturation. Costa argues that the goal should be to <strong data-start=\"2926\" data-end=\"2993\">maintain the balance between quality tourism and accessibility<\/strong>: &#8220;<strong data-start=\"2998\" data-end=\"3072\">We want Ibiza to remain an open, sustainable and safe destination<\/strong>,&#8221; he says. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3086\" data-end=\"3426\">Meanwhile, the <strong data-start=\"3105\" data-end=\"3124\">Consell Insular<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"3130\" data-end=\"3147\">Balearic Government<\/strong> are promoting a strategy of tourist containment that prioritizes quality over quantity, in line with the federation itself.
