At present, <strong data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1529\">five of the fourteen social-health workers at the center are on sick leave<\/strong>, which represents 36% of the staff. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1575\" data-end=\"1803\">&#8220;We want to act with transparency and responsibility, to know the real reasons for sick leave &#8211; whether it is due to physical or mental strain &#8211; and to seek solutions,&#8221; said Costa, who assured that <strong data-start=\"1766\" data-end=\"1802\">all shifts are covered<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1854\">Reinforcement measures and internal review<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1855\" data-end=\"2153\">Among the measures adopted immediately, the Consell has reinforced the <strong data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"1956\">security of the building<\/strong>, with the installation of <strong data-start=\"1980\" data-end=\"2026\">sound sensors at the entrance doors<\/strong> and the implementation of <strong data-start=\"2048\" data-end=\"2092\">telematic bracelets for residents<\/strong>, a decision taken after the recent escape of a user.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2396\">In addition, <strong data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2211\">the video surveillance system<\/strong> has been <strong data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2211\">revised<\/strong> and the center&#8217;s protection equipment has been updated. &#8220;<strong data-start=\"2269\" data-end=\"2318\">We are not here to shy away, but to act<\/strong>,&#8221; stressed the councilor, who thanked the staff for their commitment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2398\" data-end=\"2718\">Costa has also requested a report from the <strong data-start=\"2429\" data-end=\"2462\">Occupational Risks service<\/strong> on the causes of sick leave. The unions, especially <strong data-start=\"2545\" data-end=\"2552\">UGT<\/strong>, attribute the labor disputes to the change in the work schedule implemented last term, which reduced the workday to seven hours a day in three shifts. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2725\" data-end=\"2796\">Negotiations with labor unions and new Participation Council<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2797\" data-end=\"3047\">The Consell plans to convene before the end of the month the <strong data-start=\"2848\" data-end=\"2893\">Council of Participation of the Residence<\/strong>, in which families, staff and management of the center will be represented, to <strong data-start=\"2985\" data-end=\"3044\">propose improvements and monitor the actions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3049\" data-end=\"3442\">Likewise, the councilor will meet with the <strong data-start=\"3092\" data-end=\"3106\">unions<\/strong> to jointly analyze possible organizational and labor changes.
