The plenary session will decide whether to ratify the text that would allow the proposal for constitutional reform to be submitted to Congress. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"729\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/formentera-reactiva-su-historica-reivindicacion-de-contar-con-un-senador-propio\/\">Formentera reactivates its historical claim to have its own senator<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"2009\">The proposal to be discussed in the plenary responds to the <strong data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1512\">plenary agreement of the Consell de Formentera<\/strong>, led by its president, <strong data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1558\">\u00d3scar Portas<\/strong>, and gives continuity to a process initiated in 2004 and reactivated in this legislature after <strong data-start=\"1645\" data-end=\"1685\">seven years of blockage in Congress<\/strong>. The reactivation has been possible thanks to the <strong data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1775\">initiative of the deputy Lloren\u00e7 C\u00f3rdoba<\/strong>, in the framework of <strong data-start=\"1793\" data-end=\"1840\">point 20 of the investiture agreement of 2023<\/strong>, and has had the <strong data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"1918\">collaboration of the Balearic Government and the Popular Party<\/strong> to order the administrative procedures and keep the issue on the parliamentary agenda. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2011\" data-end=\"2448\">On <strong data-start=\"2014\" data-end=\"2031\">October 14,<\/strong> the Parliament approved a <strong data-start=\"2057\" data-end=\"2084\">Resolution Proposal<\/strong>, promoted by Cordoba, to <strong data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2151\">resume and accelerate the<\/strong> legislative <strong data-start=\"2114\" data-end=\"2151\">process<\/strong>. The text received <strong data-start=\"2182\" data-end=\"2205\">49 votes in favor<\/strong> and only five against, those of the deputies of Vox, and stated that this measure is a matter of <strong data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2359\">&#8220;democratic justice and institutional coherence&#8221;,<\/strong> equating the situation of Formentera to that of other islands such as El Hierro, in the Canary Islands. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2822\">Two key steps are being taken this week: this Tuesday, the plenary must <strong data-start=\"2513\" data-end=\"2545\">reaffirm the 2018 agreement<\/strong> -by which the reform was already referred to Congress-, and this Wednesday, November 12, the Parliament <strong data-start=\"2646\" data-end=\"2711\">will send the names of the delegation that will defend the reform<\/strong> before the Lower House, in response to a formal request from the president of Congress, <strong data-start=\"2800\" data-end=\"2821\">Francina Armengol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"2148\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/armengol-da-un-impulso-a-la-reforma-para-que-formentera-cuente-con-un-senador-propio\/\">Armengol gives a boost to the reform for Formentera to have its own senator<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2155\" data-end=\"2224\">Other plenary session topics: climate emergency, education and housing<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2226\" data-end=\"2352\">In addition to the debate on the senator from Formentera, this Tuesday&#8217;s plenary session includes <strong data-start=\"2318\" data-end=\"2351\">several outstanding initiatives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2354\" data-end=\"2849\">\n<li data-start=\"2354\" data-end=\"2522\">\n<p data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2522\">The <strong data-start=\"2359\" data-end=\"2367\">PSIB<\/strong> will defend a motion on the <strong data-start=\"2399\" data-end=\"2456\">risks associated with extreme weather events<\/strong>, in a context marked by the recent storms in the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2660\">\n<p data-start=\"2525\" data-end=\"2660\">A Socialist <strong data-start=\"2549\" data-end=\"2574\">Proposition Not of Law<\/strong> (PNL) in favor of a <strong data-start=\"2607\" data-end=\"2659\">State Pact to face the climate emergency<\/strong> will also be debated.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2661\" data-end=\"2846\">\n<p data-start=\"2663\" data-end=\"2846\">For its part, <strong data-start=\"2677\" data-end=\"2697\">M\u00c9S per Mallorca<\/strong> will present a PNL to defend <strong data-start=\"2734\" data-end=\"2755\">public education<\/strong>, criticizing the Government for &#8220;perverting the distribution&#8221; between public and subsidized schools.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2852\" data-end=\"3034\">&#8220;The PP is forcing the system to ensure that the concerted system has enough students even where there is already a public school,&#8221; denounced ecosoberanista spokesman <strong data-start=\"3013\" data-end=\"3033\">Llu\u00eds Apesteguia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3036\" data-end=\"3355\">In addition, <strong data-start=\"3044\" data-end=\"3062\">United We can<\/strong> question the Councillor for Housing, Jos\u00e9 Luis Mateo, for the <strong data-start=\"3125\" data-end=\"3181\">lack of effective policies on housing<\/strong>.
