The Partido Popular<\/strong> has officially announced that Juanfran P\u00e9rez Llorca<\/strong> will be in charge of succeeding Carlos Maz\u00f3n as head of the Generalitat Valenciana<\/strong>, following the resignation of the former president just over a week ago. The appointment, approved by the national leadership of the PP, seeks to ensure a quick transition and maintain institutional stability<\/strong> in the Valencian Community. <\/p>\n

According to Genova sources, the president of the PP, Alberto N\u00fa\u00f1ez Feij\u00f3o<\/strong>, personally communicated to P\u00e9rez Llorca -current secretary general of the PPCV<\/strong>, spokesman in Les Corts<\/strong> and mayor of Finestrat-<\/strong>his appointment as candidate for the Presidency of the Generalitat. The announcement comes eight days after the resignation of Maz\u00f3n, who stepped aside to focus on national politics. <\/p>\n

“I accept the challenge of achieving a majority with the focus on the recovery and reconstruction of the Valencian Community,” said P\u00e9rez Llorca in his social networks. “A period of dialogue is now open that we will face with seriousness, rigor and always prioritizing the needs of the Valencians.” <\/span><\/p>\n

A quick changeover to avoid political uncertainty<\/h2>\n

The PP is confident that the investiture will materialize in the coming days<\/strong>, with the aim of restoring institutional normality “as soon as possible”. From Genova they assure that the election of P\u00e9rez Llorca<\/strong> has the unanimous support of the provincial directorates<\/strong> and they underline his continuist profile with Maz\u00f3n’s project. <\/p>\n

The national spokesman of the party, Miguel Tellado<\/strong>, communicated the decision to the provincial presidents and said that the appointment seeks “a solution as quickly as possible<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

“We think that the approach that the candidate is Juanfran can not surprise anyone in Vox. He belongs to a leadership that has already faced other conversations with Vox and is no stranger to them,” explained PP sources, according to EL MUNDO<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
