According to sources of the proceedings, quoted by the newspaper <em data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1133\">\u00daltima Hora<\/em>, the lawyers allege a <strong data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1176\">procedural error<\/strong> in an extension order issued <strong data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1226\">out of time<\/strong>, which could <strong data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1283\">invalidate the subsequent proceedings<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"1197\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/criminal-organization-that-smuggled-drugs-into-the-balearic-islands-through-ibizas-waters-is-busted\/?swcfpc=1\">Criminal organization that smuggled drugs into the Balearic Islands through Ibiza&#8217;s waters is busted<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1744\">Specifically, the appeal argues that the order extending the investigations &#8211; which should have been signed within 12 months from the beginning of the case &#8211; was <strong data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1461\">issued late<\/strong>, despite the complexity of the case. If the petition is successful, a large part of the investigation could be rendered ineffective. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1751\" data-end=\"1800\"><strong data-start=\"1755\" data-end=\"1800\">A macro-operation with epicenter in Ibiza<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"2525\"><strong data-start=\"1805\" data-end=\"1832\">Operation Enroque-Manso<\/strong>, launched more than two years ago, uncovered an <strong data-start=\"1877\" data-end=\"1925\">international drug trafficking and laundering network<\/strong> with branches in <strong data-start=\"1948\" data-end=\"1995\">Mallorca, Valencia and several European countries<\/strong>, which used <strong data-start=\"2013\" data-end=\"2036\">Ibizan waters<\/strong> to smuggle large shipments of <strong data-start=\"2076\" data-end=\"2096\">cocaine and hashish<\/strong> from North Africa and South America.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1802\" data-end=\"2525\">During the <strong data-start=\"2150\" data-end=\"2180\">71 house searches<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2210\" data-end=\"2251\">687 kilos of cocaine, 2,500 kilos of hashish<\/strong>, 1.5 million euros in cash, 16 firearms, silencers, luxury watches and works of art were seized.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/el-rol-clave-de-ibiza-en-la-macrooperacion-en-mallorca-contra-el-blanqueo-de-capitales-y-el-trafico-de-droga\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza&#8217;s key role in Mallorca&#8217;s macro operation against money laundering and drug trafficking<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2532\" data-end=\"2564\"><strong data-start=\"2536\" data-end=\"2564\">The main defendants<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2992\">Among the <strong data-start=\"2576\" data-end=\"2592\">76 detainees<\/strong> are the alleged leader of the <em data-start=\"2632\" data-end=\"2648\">United Tribuns<\/em>, <strong data-start=\"2650\" data-end=\"2670\">Stefan Milojevic<\/strong>, considered to be the executing arm of the <strong data-start=\"2708\" data-end=\"2726\">Albanian mafia<\/strong> in Spain; the lawyer <strong data-start=\"2749\" data-end=\"2768\">Gonzalo M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, accused of being the financial mastermind of the network; and the National Police inspector <strong data-start=\"2856\" data-end=\"2876\">Faustino Nogales<\/strong>, accused of <strong data-start=\"2889\" data-end=\"2922\">leaking confidential information<\/strong> to the network. All have been <strong data-start=\"2950\" data-end=\"2976\">in pre-trial detention<\/strong> since August. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2994\" data-end=\"3391\"><strong data-start=\"2994\" data-end=\"3003\">Ibiza<\/strong>, according to the investigations, functioned as a <strong data-start=\"3042\" data-end=\"3096\">platform for the storage and redistribution of drugs<\/strong> to Mallorca and the mainland, and as an enclave for <strong data-start=\"3151\" data-end=\"3176\">money laundering<\/strong> through front companies and real estate operations.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3398\" data-end=\"3439\"><strong data-start=\"3402\" data-end=\"3439\">Possible legal consequences<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3441\" data-end=\"3826\">If the judge accepts the argument of the defenses and declares <strong data-start=\"3498\" data-end=\"3555\">the proceedings subsequent to the extension order null and void<\/strong>, the investigation &#8211; which is in its final phase &#8211; could <strong data-start=\"3617\" data-end=\"3646\">partially fall apart.<\/strong> However, sources close to the case point out that <strong data-start=\"3700\" data-end=\"3745\">the complexity and extent of the plot<\/strong> could justify the delay and <strong data-start=\"3777\" data-end=\"3825\">maintain the validity of the evidence obtained.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3828\" data-end=\"4057\">The judicial resolution, expected in the next few weeks, will be <strong data-start=\"3893\" data-end=\"3970\">key to determine whether the laundering and drug trafficking cases continue<\/strong>, or whether a new scenario opens up that will force a <strong data-start=\"4018\" data-end=\"4054\">repetition of part of the
