The passage of an Atlantic front associated with squall Claudia<\/strong> will mark the weather especially in Galicia<\/strong>, where heavy and persistent rains<\/strong> are expected, with the possibility of isolated storms<\/strong> and gusts of wind from the south<\/strong> that will strongly affect coastal areas.<\/p>\n

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)<\/strong>, the maritime storm will also cause waves of up to six meters on the west coast of Galicia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rest of the country, with more stable weather<\/strong><\/h3>\n

While the northwest will experience a day of instability, in the rest of Spain<\/strong> the atmosphere will be calmer and more stable<\/strong>, with a predominance of clear skies.<\/p>\n

However, clouds and light showers<\/strong> are expected in some areas of the Cantabrian area<\/strong>, the Atlantic<\/strong> and the Central System<\/strong>, as well as mist and morning fog<\/strong> in the mountains of the Atlantic slope and the southern plateau.<\/p>\n

Precipitation<\/strong> could also extend to the west of Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, the northwest of Extremadura<\/strong> and parts of the Central System<\/strong>, while frontal mists<\/strong> will form in western Galicia.<\/p>\n

The squall Claudia<\/strong> will also impact the Canary Islands<\/strong>, although it will do so from Wednesday<\/strong>, with rain and strong winds<\/strong> forecast. The sky will be overcast<\/strong> in the western islands, with probable weak rains<\/strong>, and clearer in the rest of the archipelago<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Temperatures will remain around 24 degrees maximum and 20 degrees minimum<\/strong>, with light wind and light breezes<\/strong>, more intense in higher areas.<\/p>\n

Indirect effects in the Balearic Islands:<\/h3>\n

Although the meteorological phenomenon will affect with greater intensity in the west of the peninsula and the Canary archipelago, the islands of Ibiza and Formentera<\/b> will feel the indirect effects of Claudia<\/b> due to a flow of warm and dry<\/b> air. On the islands, a significant increase in temperatures<\/b> is expected throughout the week. <\/p>\n

Maximum temperatures could reach 24 \u00b0C<\/b>, while minimum temperatures could be around 18 \u00b0C.<\/b> This episode will be accompanied by moderate to strong southerly wind<\/b> and the arrival of suspended dust<\/b>, which will generate the phenomenon known as calima<\/b> and cloud the sky, and may produce mud showers<\/b> at certain times, according to the AEMET. <\/p>\n

In the Balearic Islands<\/b> as a whole, the concentration of these particles will be noticeable from Wednesday morning, and forecasts indicate that the haze<\/b> will persist until Friday, when the mass of warm, dry air will begin to move eastward.<\/p>\n

Higher temperatures and frost in mountain areas<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Maximum temperatures<\/strong> will rise in most of the country, except in the center and in some areas of the east, where they will hardly vary.<\/p>\n

In general, daytime temperatures will be between 18 and 20 degrees<\/strong>. Minimum temperatures<\/strong> will also rise, with slight decreases in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. <\/p>\n

The lowest of the day will be around 3 degrees in Le\u00f3n and Cuenca<\/strong>, with localized moderate frosts<\/strong> in the Pyrenees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
