{"id":136541,"date":"2025-11-12T10:58:03","date_gmt":"2025-11-12T09:58:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/ibiza-on-edge-due-to-a-wave-of-robberies-the-spectacular-unsolved-heists\/"},"modified":"2025-11-12T10:58:03","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T09:58:03","slug":"ibiza-on-edge-due-to-a-wave-of-robberies-the-spectacular-unsolved-heists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/ibiza-on-edge-due-to-a-wave-of-robberies-the-spectacular-unsolved-heists\/","title":{"rendered":"Ibiza on edge due to a wave of robberies: the spectacular unsolved heists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"1080\"><strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"731\">Ibiza <\/strong>is living weeks marked by a <strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"731\">growing sense of insecurity<\/strong> after a <strong data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"769\">series of violent robberies<\/strong> that, to date, <strong data-start=\"791\" data-end=\"816\">have not been solved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"1080\">\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/another-attack-by-hooded-men-against-elderly-people-in-portmany-bay-homes-in-a-week\/?swcfpc=1\">Another attack by hooded men against elderly people in Portmany Bay homes in a week<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"1080\">In less than a month, there have been <strong data-start=\"855\" data-end=\"883\">three serious robberies<\/strong> in different parts of the island: one in the center of Ibiza, another in Sant Antoni and a third in Cala de Bou in Sant Josep, all with a common denominator: <strong data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1079\">violence, significant loot and no arrests<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1146\">70,000 euro heist<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1482\">The first of the cases took place on <strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1200\">July 8, <\/strong>as it advanced at the time <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/\">La Voz de Ibiza<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1482\">Security guards from <strong data-start=\"1233\" data-end=\"1259\">Prosegur<\/strong>, a company specialized in the transport of valuables, were the target of a <strong data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1349\">silent robbery<\/strong> in the center of Ibiza, specifically on <strong data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1428\">Avenida Bartomeu Rosell\u00f3<\/strong>, an area known as the <strong data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1468\">golden mile of<\/strong> the city.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1148\" data-end=\"1482\">\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/el-robo-perfecto-de-miles-de-euros-en-la-milla-de-oro-de-ibiza-los-vigilantes-de-seguridad-en-el-punto-de-mira\/?swcfpc=1\">The perfect robbery of thousands of euros in Ibiza&#8217;s golden mile: security guards in the spotlight<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1870\">The stolen loot amounted to <strong data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1542\">70,000 euros in cash<\/strong> from the cash registers of clothing stores in the area.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1870\">The <strong data-start=\"1603\" data-end=\"1623\">National Police<\/strong>, in charge of the investigation, had confirmed to this newspaper that an investigation had been launched, but &#8211; at least to date &#8211; no arrests have been made and <strong data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1824\">the details of the theft remain under strict secrecy<\/strong> on the part of the company and the authorities.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2816\" data-end=\"2876\">Violent robbery of a woman in Sant Antoni<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2878\" data-end=\"3173\">The second event occurred on <strong data-start=\"2905\" data-end=\"2922\">October 27<\/strong> <strong>in Sant Antoni<\/strong>, on Men\u00e9ndez Pidal street, in broad daylight.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2878\" data-end=\"3173\">A woman <strong data-start=\"3009\" data-end=\"3025\">about 65 years old<\/strong> was <strong data-start=\"3030\" data-end=\"3062\">tied up, beaten and robbed<\/strong> <strong>by two individuals wearing ski masks<\/strong> who surprised her after teaching remedial classes in a house.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3175\" data-end=\"3448\">The assailants broke into the house, <strong data-start=\"3221\" data-end=\"3246\">pushed<\/strong> her <strong data-start=\"3221\" data-end=\"3246\">inside<\/strong>, and after <strong data-start=\"3255\" data-end=\"3302\">gagging her and tying her wrists with cable ties<\/strong>, demanded that she hand over <strong data-start=\"3331\" data-end=\"3361\">jewelry and cash.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3175\" data-end=\"3448\">Upon his refusal, the victim was <strong data-start=\"3396\" data-end=\"3431\">beaten <\/strong>in the face and body until he gave in.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3450\" data-end=\"3656\">The thieves fled with the loot without being intercepted. The woman was <strong data-start=\"3520\" data-end=\"3551\">attended by an ambulance<\/strong>, while <strong data-start=\"3566\" data-end=\"3620\">the Local Police of Sant Antoni and the Guardia Civil<\/strong> attended the scene. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3658\" data-end=\"3884\">As of today, <strong data-start=\"3672\" data-end=\"3692\">no one has been arrested<\/strong>, although the City Council has confirmed that the <strong data-start=\"3748\" data-end=\"3794\">police presence in the area<\/strong> has been <strong data-start=\"3748\" data-end=\"3794\">reinforced<\/strong> to help identify the perpetrators and <strong data-start=\"3848\" data-end=\"3883\">increase public safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1966\" data-end=\"2019\">Assault on a home in Cala de Bou<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2021\" data-end=\"2274\">The third event occurred on <strong data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2088\">Tuesday afternoon, November 7,<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2107\">Cala de Bou<\/strong>, within the municipality of <strong data-start=\"2133\" data-end=\"2147\">Sant Josep<\/strong>. Two people were injured during the attempted robbery of an inhabited house located in Salamanca street. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2276\" data-end=\"2540\">The perpetrators, <strong data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2336\">at least two hooded men dressed in black<\/strong>, broke into the house with <strong data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2387\">premeditation<\/strong> and managed to flee after the attack.
