According to estimates by <strong data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"549\">Loter\u00edas y Apuestas del Estado (LAE)<\/strong>, the archipelago will spend <strong data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"617\">an average of 42.94 euros per person<\/strong> to buy tickets for the draw to be held on <strong data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"731\">December 22 at the Teatro Real in Madrid<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"812\"><strong data-start=\"743\" data-end=\"812\">The communities that spend the least on the Christmas Lottery<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"1470\">According to LAE forecasts, <strong data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"925\">the Balearic Islands is among the regions with the lowest investment per person<\/strong>, only above <strong data-start=\"946\" data-end=\"971\">Melilla (17.32 euros)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"997\">Ceuta (19.10 euros)<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1061\">Canary Islands (47.24 euros)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1064\" data-end=\"1090\">Catalonia (57.06 euros)<\/strong> also recorded reduced spending. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"1470\">At the opposite end of the scale, <strong data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1138\">Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong> leads the national ranking with an <strong data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1203\">average expenditure of 121.28 euros<\/strong>, followed by <strong data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1244\">Asturias (119.67 euros)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1274\">La Rioja (113.96 euros).<\/strong> In absolute terms, <strong data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1309\">Madrid<\/strong> is the community with the highest allocation, with <strong data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1392\">596.4 million euros in tickets<\/strong>, ahead of <strong data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1437\">Andalusia (552 million)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1440\" data-end=\"1467\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Catalonia (458 million).<\/strong> <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"184\" data-end=\"242\"><strong data-start=\"188\" data-end=\"242\">The national average reaches 76 euros per person<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"244\" data-end=\"692\">In Spain as a whole, enthusiasm for the traditional Christmas lottery continues to grow. This year, each citizen will spend an average of <strong data-start=\"378\" data-end=\"404\">76.08 euros on tickets<\/strong>, a slight increase on the <strong data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"472\">73.84 euros<\/strong> recorded in 2024. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"1234\">The data published by <strong data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"759\">Loter\u00edas y Apuestas del Estado (LAE)<\/strong> correspond to the initial estimates of consignment, that is, the calculation made by the agency when distributing the tickets among the country&#8217;s administrations. However, the final figures could vary, since each year a part of the tickets are not sold. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"1234\">Even so, the trend confirms that the Christmas draw continues to be the most popular event on the gaming calendar in Spain, far ahead of any other draw or special lottery.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1284\"><strong data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1284\">A sweepstakes with more prizes than ever<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1690\">The <strong data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1356\">2025<\/strong> edition <strong data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1356\">of the Extraordinary Christmas Lottery Draw<\/strong> will be the most ambitious in its history, with a <strong data-start=\"1403\" data-end=\"1451\">total distribution of 2,772 million euros<\/strong>, which means <strong data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1486\">70 million more<\/strong> than in the last edition. This increase is linked to the increase in the number of series, which goes from <strong data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1607\">193 to 198<\/strong>, and which raises to <strong data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1650\">198 million tickets<\/strong> the amount available for sale. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"2304\">Of the total issued, <strong data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1744\">70% will be destined to prizes<\/strong>, which guarantees that most of the money collected will return to the hands of the players. The expected <strong data-start=\"1849\" data-end=\"1860\">&#8220;Gordo&#8221;<\/strong> will continue to award <strong data-start=\"1879\" data-end=\"1912\">4 million euros per series<\/strong>, while the second prize will amount to <strong data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"1974\">1.25 million<\/strong> and the third prize to <strong data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2007\">500,000 euros.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"2304\">In addition, there are two fourth prizes of <strong data-start=\"2049\" data-end=\"2066\">200,000 euros<\/strong> and eight fifth prizes of <strong data-start=\"2085\" data-end=\"2101\">60,000 euros<\/strong> each.
