In the event, which occurred in 2023, the man, who was totally dependent, died. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"956\">The Prosecutor&#8217;s Office is demanding for the accused the penalty of <strong data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"808\">revisable permanent imprisonment<\/strong>, in addition to the payment of compensation exceeding <strong data-start=\"861\" data-end=\"913\">62,000 euros for two of the victim&#8217;s children<\/strong> and more than <strong data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"955\">86,000 euros for the third, <\/strong>as revealed by <em>Radio Ibiza <\/em>from the indictment.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"956\">The arson<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"958\" data-end=\"1299\">According to the indictment, the woman took advantage of the fact that she kept the keys to the house &#8211; where she had worked weeks earlier as a caretaker &#8211; to enter the house while the couple slept. Once inside, she went to the garage, <strong>gathered several cushions, set them on fire and left the house leaving the flames to spread<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1695\">The fire surprised the residents in the early hours of the morning. The neighbors alerted by the smoke <g id=\"gid_0\">managed to get out the elderly woman<\/g>, who was sleeping in one of the rooms, but were unable to help her partner. The man died of asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation and also had second-degree burns over most of his body.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"2006\"><strong>The jury<\/strong> is scheduled to <strong>be constituted this Monday<\/strong>, in a closed session. Afterwards, the oral hearing will begin with the reading of the parties&#8217; briefs.
