When an elderly person learns to send their first photo via WhatsApp, to request a doctor’s appointment online or to make a video call with their granddaughter, something more than technical learning happens: a door is opened. Fundaci\u00f3n Cibervoluntarios<\/a>, which has worked on various social projects on the island<\/strong>, now returns to Ibiza<\/strong> to continue pushing that door with its project “Yo Conecto”,<\/strong> and does so with an urgent call for trainers<\/strong>, because next week the preparation of the team will already begin.<\/p>\n

In an area where administrations are strengthening their attention to the elderly, digital literacy has become a daily necessity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Silent work: accompanying, explaining, waiting<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The “Yo Conecto” program offers workshops from November 24 to 27. <\/strong>Volunteers are offered a fixed-term contract<\/strong> and paid training<\/strong> during the week of the 17th.<\/p>\n

Each session focuses on the essentials: practical learning, calm, listening and patience<\/strong>, an approach that has made this NGO a reference in digital inclusion in Spain. On the island, that path has been strengthened with local initiatives such as municipal digital identification<\/strong> courses and <\/a>new training actions in other municipalities. <\/p>\n

Fundaci\u00f3n Cibervoluntarios was born with a simple yet profoundly transformative mission: to use technology as a tool for social inclusion<\/strong>. Its network of volunteers and trainers works throughout Spain to ensure that no one is left behind in an increasingly digital world. <\/p>\n

The organization promotes free programs for vulnerable groups -the elderly, women in rural areas, young people at risk of exclusion or migrants-<\/strong>and does so from an approach that combines social innovation<\/strong>, close accompaniment and a very clear idea: technology only makes sense if it serves to improve people’s daily lives<\/em>. This spirit, present in more than twenty years of activity, is what now brings the NGO back to Ibiza<\/strong> with new workshops. <\/p>\n

When Cibervolunteers worked with young people in Sant Josep<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is not the first time that the organization has landed on the island: this year it collaborated with the Campament Digital de Sant Josep<\/strong>, a project that brought technological skills to young people in the municipality. That experience, promoted in winter, showed that the organization’s workshops generate real and sustained impact<\/strong>, creating a learning community that is now active again with the elderly. <\/p>\n

Training actions such as those of Santa Eul\u00e0ria<\/strong>, which offered free courses for people over 55 years old<\/a>, see here, consolidate an ecosystem in which the NGO fits naturally.<\/p>\n

A kindly urgency: time is running out and hands are needed<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The call for applications was published this week<\/strong> and the training starts in a few days<\/strong>, a short period that underlines the need for people who want to teach seniors how to manage their daily digital lives.<\/p>\n

The search for trainers connects with a growing movement in Ibiza: neighbors teaching neighbors<\/strong>, professionals transmitting basic digital skills and small gestures that reduce the gap between generations.<\/p>\n
