For seven years A. M.<\/strong> has been trying to get the Sant Josep Town Hall to act on what he describes as a catalog of illegal works<\/strong> in his urbanization of Port des Torrent<\/strong>: closed porches<\/strong>, added rooms<\/strong>, a room erected in a communal area<\/strong> and a demolished wall<\/strong> that opened a passage to the neighboring Sa Marinada. Since then, he says, nothing has changed. “This is a joke,” he sums up. <\/p>\n

The complaint was formalized in 2018, <\/strong>according to La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong>, through the 4621\/18 file. His wife presented it accompanied by the minutes of a meeting of owners<\/strong> in which, she claims, it was recorded that several neighbors had expanded their homes without permission. <\/p>\n

From that moment on, the visits of a municipal supervisor, the official photographs and the opening of the file for six dwellings with irregularities began. Then came the wait. “The architect closed the file after five years,” he explains. “We were told that since it was open it did not expire, but then I was informed that several works had already expired.” <\/p>\n

Consulted by La Voz de Ibiza<\/em>, the Consistory states that it cannot provide information on ongoing urban discipline proceedings<\/strong>, without clarifying whether there have been notifications, sanctions or legalizations. According to A. M., none of this has happened. <\/p>\n

Claim<\/h2>\n

According to the complainant, time<\/strong> has become the main ally of the irregularities. The extensions remain as they were seven years ago and the open passage between urbanizations continues to operate. “Here some people do what they want and the rest of us pay the price. There are larger homes that neither pay more community nor pay more taxes,” he laments. He also stresses that several of the owners involved do not usually reside in the urbanization<\/strong>, which, he says, aggravates the feeling of lack of control for those who live there all year round. <\/p>\n

During this period, A.M. claims to have knocked on every door. First with Angel Luis Guerrero<\/g>, then head of Urban Planning and later mayor. Later with Vicente Roig<\/strong>, current mayor, with whom he held two meetings “without progress”. <\/p>\n

“In October last year the mayor told me: ‘Don’t worry, I have already given the order to speed up the process.’ But it seems that he is waiting for the statute of limitations to expire. The work of the architect and urban planning discipline, which we all pay for, comes to nothing,” he summarizes. He assures that in that meeting Roig explained to him that the only thing missing was the technical report to move towards the corresponding sanctions. <\/p>\n

He also requested an appointment with Enrique Dur\u00e1n<\/strong>, whom he identifies as Urbanismo’s right-hand man, but was never received. “They don’t want to give me any more visits. The City Council knows everything and does nothing,” he says. <\/p>\n

What outrages the most<\/h2>\n

Among the actions denounced, A. M. emphasizes that the president of the community<\/strong> expanded his home without communicating it, the opening of the passage to Sa Marinada<\/strong> after demolishing the wall, and the “feeling of impunity” because the extensions, he says, have not adjusted community coefficients or pay more taxes.<\/strong>“Here some people do what they want and the rest of us pay the price,” he repeats. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
