The professor, tireless disseminator and reference in pedagogical innovation, passed away after a career that made him one of the most beloved and respected figures in academia. His work was recognized in 2024 with the <strong data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"711\">Creu de Sant Jordi<\/strong>, one of the highest institutional honors in the country, awarded for his vast contribution to knowledge and education.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"1416\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"943\">The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya deeply regrets the death of Professor Claudi Alsina<\/strong>,&#8221; the UOC announced in a statement on the social network X. His legacy lives on in today&#8217;s Catalonia, at the forefront of science in Europe. <\/strong>&#8220;, he wrote.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2068\" data-end=\"2131\"><strong data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2131\">A total mathematician: researcher, disseminator and educator<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2133\" data-end=\"2584\">Born in Barcelona in 1952, <strong data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2188\">Claudi Alsina i Catal\u00e0<\/strong> specialized in fields as diverse as <strong data-start=\"2232\" data-end=\"2320\">functional equations, mathematical visualization, fuzzy logic, Catalan metrology<\/strong>, mathematical education and geometry inspired by Gaud\u00ed, one of his best known passions. In it they analyzed the geometric and technical elements that the modernist architect used in his work.
