Ibiza is preparing for a weekend marked by local gastronomy with the celebration of the third edition of the Eivissa Red Potato Omelette Contest<\/strong>, an initiative that once again highlights one of the most recognizable products of the Ibizan countryside. The contest is part of the II Fira Sabors d’Eivissa<\/strong>, which this year returns with more activities and proposals aimed at both residents and visitors interested in traditional cuisine. <\/p>\n

A tribute to local products<\/h2>\n

The red potato omelette, made with a local variety highly prized for its flavor and texture, will be the star of the contest. The Eivissa Town Hall will give 5 kilos of red potato<\/strong> to each registered team, so that participants can prepare their recipes live and demonstrate their creativity in the kitchen. <\/p>\n

The event, organized in collaboration with the Consell Insular d’Eivissa<\/strong>, Sabors<\/strong> and Pimeef<\/strong>, seeks to make local products visible, promote zero kilometer gastronomy and boost activity on one of the most important weekends of the culinary calendar.<\/p>\n

Open registration and festive atmosphere<\/h2>\n

Those interested in participating can register now through the website www.eivissaparticipa.es<\/a><\/strong>. The councilman of Commerce, \u00c0lex Minchiotti<\/strong>, has encouraged lovers of cooking to join this event: “We want everyone to share their best recipes and live a fun day around a product so ours”.<\/span> <\/p>\n

The contest usually attracts not only amateur cooks, but also families and onlookers who come to enjoy the atmosphere, taste local products or experience firsthand the preparation of one of the most popular dishes of the island.<\/p>\n
