Winter bursts in Mallorca with a thermal plunge and risk of snowfall in high areas. <\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"639\"><strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"639\">Heavy rains in Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"959\">In the Pitiusas, the AEMET maintains a yellow warning for rains that could exceed <strong data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"773\">20 liters per square meter in an hour<\/strong>, especially in the early hours of the day. The showers may be accompanied by <strong data-start=\"859\" data-end=\"871\">thunderstorms<\/strong>, within an episode of instability that affects the whole of the Balearic archipelago.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"961\" data-end=\"1183\">This scenario is framed in an atmospheric situation dominated by the entry of cold air at high levels and a humid flow from the Mediterranean, which favors the formation of compact cloudiness and precipitation.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1227\"><strong data-start=\"1189\" data-end=\"1227\">Swell and strong wind in the Balearic Islands<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1622\">Although the orange warning for rough seas has been reserved for Girona, the AEMET also foresees a <strong data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1388\">yellow warning for swell in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong>, with rough seas and waves that may reach <strong data-start=\"1434\" data-end=\"1446\">3 meters<\/strong> at times. <strong data-start=\"1487\" data-end=\"1519\">Winds from the north and northwest<\/strong> will prevail, with intervals of <strong data-start=\"1539\" data-end=\"1553\">tramontana<\/strong>, which will also be felt in the channel between Ibiza and Formentera.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1624\" data-end=\"1681\"><strong data-start=\"1628\" data-end=\"1681\">Peninsular context: thermal collapse in the north<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"2033\">The episode of instability is accompanied by a notable thermal contrast in the Peninsula. While in Soria the minimum temperatures could drop to <g id=\"gid_0\">-2 \u00baC<\/g>, the Canary Islands will reach maximums of <g id=\"gid_1\">24 \u00baC<\/g>. In Navarra and nearby areas, maximum temperatures will experience locally significant decreases, according to the meteorological agency.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2035\" data-end=\"2311\">In most of the country, the atmosphere will be <strong data-start=\"2076\" data-end=\"2087\">stable<\/strong>, with light cloudy skies and morning fog in both plateaus, Galicia and mountain systems. Only the Cantabrian Sea and northern Galicia will record weak precipitation associated with the entry of a humid flow from the north.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2313\" data-end=\"2363\"><strong data-start=\"2317\" data-end=\"2363\">Forecast for the next hours in Ibiza<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2364\" data-end=\"2666\">In Ibiza, the morning is expected to pass under <strong data-start=\"2413\" data-end=\"2431\">cloudy skies<\/strong>, with occasional showers that could be of strong intensity.
