The objective is to elaborate a <strong data-start=\"340\" data-end=\"362\">Proposition of Law<\/strong> that updates the regulatory framework and reinforces the singular character of the Formentera institution. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"881\">The reform aims to <strong data-start=\"482\" data-end=\"539\">make visible the electoral regime of Formentera<\/strong>, an island that simultaneously constitutes a city council and a consell, an exceptionality within the Balearic autonomic system. Currently, <strong data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"720\">municipal elections<\/strong> are called, but the resulting body is an Island Council, a situation that, according to the island government, generates a <strong data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"880\">symbolic, legal and institutional incoherence<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"1266\">The president of the Consell, <strong data-start=\"910\" data-end=\"926\">\u00d3scar Portas<\/strong>, has pointed out that this initiative seeks to &#8220;<strong data-start=\"967\" data-end=\"1110\">legally consolidate what Formentera already is in practice: a full institution of self-government within the Balearic autonomous system<\/strong>&#8220;. With the legislative modification, the denomination of the electoral processes would be adjusted from the first moment to the institutional reality of the island. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1316\"><strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1316\">An open consultation for fifteen days<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1688\">The citizen consultation will be available for <strong data-start=\"1366\" data-end=\"1389\">fifteen working days<\/strong> and interested persons may participate through the <strong data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1505\">institutional website of the Consell Insular de Formentera<\/strong>. This process will allow to collect opinions and suggestions on the general aspects that should be included in the new regulation, before the drafting of the final text begins. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1690\" data-end=\"2018\">Once the term is over, the Consell will evaluate all the contributions and will begin to elaborate the <strong data-start=\"1787\" data-end=\"1809\">normative project<\/strong>.
