The future of the transfer of waste from Ibiza to the incinerator in Mallorca<\/strong> is once again up in the air. The Government admits that the process is paralyzed and that, for now, there is no legal framework<\/g> that allows the implementation of the planned pilot plan. The responsibility, according to the vice-president of the autonomic Executive, Antoni Costa<\/strong>, lies in the votes against the left-wing groups and Vox in the Parliament, a decision that has left without effect the decree law that should enable the operation. <\/p>\n

Costa explained that the decree of Strategic Projects<\/strong>, rejected on September 30<\/strong>, contained the necessary provision to give legal coverage to the temporary transfer of waste. Without this validation, the Government assures that it cannot carry out the pilot test<\/strong> or find regulatory alternatives: “We have studied all the options and none offers legal certainty,” he said. <\/p>\n
