The session, chaired by <strong data-start=\"1036\" data-end=\"1052\">\u00d3scar Portas<\/strong>, concluded with a very favorable assessment of security on the island.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/multazo-record-en-las-playas-de-formentera-por-un-aluvion-de-infracciones-durante-el-verano\/?swcfpc=1\">Record fines on the beaches of Formentera for a spate of violations during the summer<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1458\"><strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1264\">&#8220;The coordination maintained throughout the year has been decisive in ensuring a safer environment and more efficient operations,&#8221;<\/strong> Portas stressed, highlighting the <strong data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1320\">reduction of crimes<\/strong> and the effectiveness of <strong data-start=\"1338\" data-end=\"1369\">new specific units<\/strong> of both the Local Police and the Civil Guard.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1465\" data-end=\"1523\">Police reinforcement and fight against street vending<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1525\" data-end=\"1933\">During the meeting, the <strong data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1608\">actions of the night unit<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"1614\" data-end=\"1651\">agents deployed on the beaches<\/strong> were highlighted, whose work has been fundamental in <strong data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1720\">combating street vending<\/strong>, especially during the months with the highest number of tourists. According to the island&#8217;s president, these actions have made it possible to <strong data-start=\"1837\" data-end=\"1882\">reinforce surveillance in sensitive areas<\/strong> and improve the response to risk situations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1935\" data-end=\"2166\">In addition, Portas thanked the reinforcement of <strong data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2017\">the Civil Guard and the National Police<\/strong> in the <strong data-start=\"2024\" data-end=\"2063\">management of irregular immigration<\/strong>, despite regretting that <strong data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2165\">Formentera still does not have the first aid service of the Red Cross.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2170\" data-end=\"2309\">&#8220;Security in Formentera is a shared responsibility,&#8221; said Portas, stressing the importance of institutional cooperation.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2316\" data-end=\"2384\">Vandalism in Sant Ferran and coordination for emergencies<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2386\" data-end=\"2713\">Another of the key points addressed at the meeting was the concern about the <strong data-start=\"2463\" data-end=\"2510\">acts of vandalism registered in Sant Ferran<\/strong> in recent months.
