The winner of this edition has been the Croatian town of <strong data-start=\"1068\" data-end=\"1081\">Dubrovnik<\/strong>, although the City Council of Ibiza has already confirmed that it <strong>will apply again for the 2027 edition.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/what-to-do\/ibiza-presents-the-ii-fira-sabors-and-surprises-with-a-contest-with-a-special-ingredient\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza presents the II Fira Sabors and surprises with a contest with a special ingredient<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/what-to-do\/ibiza-fills-with-flavor-this-weekend-with-the-return-of-the-red-potato-omelet-contest\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza fills with flavor this weekend with the return of the red potato omelet contest<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1619\">The Mayor of Vila, <strong data-start=\"1248\" data-end=\"1265\">Rafa Triguero<\/strong>, and <strong>Ruben Sousa<\/strong>, the Councillor for Tourism, went to <strong data-start=\"1200\" data-end=\"1212\">Brussels<\/strong> to defend the candidacy of the capital of Ibiza and Formentera before the European jury. <strong data-start=\"1367\" data-end=\"1435\">Ibiza managed to reach the final among more than 50 European cities<\/strong>, a list that was reduced to only eight locations, including <strong data-start=\"1503\" data-end=\"1618\">Geestland (Germany), Laois (Ireland), Mariagerfjord and Rebild (Denmark), Marmaris (Turkey) and Tartu (Estonia).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1823\">&#8220;Being among the finalists shows that Europe already sees us as a benchmark city in sustainability and smart tourism. We continue with the clear roadmap,&#8221; Triguero highlighted on his social networks.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1823\">An award that opens doors<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1825\" data-end=\"2126\">The <strong data-start=\"1837\" data-end=\"1880\">European Green Pioneer of Smart Tourism<\/strong> award offers the winning city international visibility throughout 2026, access to a European network of best practices, institutional communication support, an official promotional video and an iconic sculpture with the award logo.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2128\" data-end=\"2420\">Ibiza&#8217;s candidacy was presented in September, and its selection as a finalist was already considered a milestone for a Mediterranean island city.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2422\" data-end=\"2668\"><strong data-start=\"2422\" data-end=\"2502\">Triguero has publicly thanked the support of MEP Rosa Estar\u00e0s<\/strong>, who accompanied the Ibizan delegation during the final phase of the process.
