{"id":139002,"date":"2025-11-20T22:13:20","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T21:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/a-plane-with-180-passengers-makes-an-emergency-landing-in-seville-what-happened\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T22:13:20","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T21:13:20","slug":"a-plane-with-180-passengers-makes-an-emergency-landing-in-seville-what-happened","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/a-plane-with-180-passengers-makes-an-emergency-landing-in-seville-what-happened\/","title":{"rendered":"A plane with 180 passengers makes an emergency landing in Seville: What happened?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"287\" data-end=\"634\">Air activity at Seville&#8217;s San Pablo airport was disrupted Thursday afternoon after a plane bound for Marrakech made an emergency landing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"287\" data-end=\"634\">The incident occurred when the crew detected a technical failure shortly after initiating the takeoff maneuver.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"636\" data-end=\"713\"><strong data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"713\">What was the problem during the flight  <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"1078\">The aircraft, a <strong data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"769\">Ryanair<\/strong> flight <strong data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"769\">with 180 passengers<\/strong>, developed complications in the <strong data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"823\">landing gear<\/strong>, forcing the pilot to request an immediate return to the Sevillian aerodrome.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"1078\">After declaring the emergency, the security system was activated, mobilizing the <strong data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1062\">Civil Guard, National Police, Local Police and the airport fire department.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1330\">Before landing, the aircraft flew over the area for about twenty minutes to stabilize the situation and prepare for contact with the runway. In the end, the maneuver was completed without incident and <strong data-start=\"1295\" data-end=\"1329\">no passengers were injured<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1395\"><strong data-start=\"1335\" data-end=\"1395\">Temporary closure of the airport and towing of the aircraft<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1653\">Once on the ground, the aircraft remained parked on the runway, temporarily blocking airport operations. Technicians and operators worked to <strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1574\">tow the aircraft<\/strong> to a safe area, a process that kept Seville&#8217;s air traffic paralyzed. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"1819\">According to <strong data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1680\">AENA<\/strong> sources, the runway became operational again at approximately <strong data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1754\">18:40 hours<\/strong>, at which time normality was restored at the aerodrome.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1821\" data-end=\"1867\"><strong data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1867\">Nine flights diverted due to the incident<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"2011\">The incident forced the diversion of <strong data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1916\">nine flights<\/strong> that were scheduled to land in Seville.
