The project, promoted by the Conselleria de Econom\u00eda, Territorio e Infraestructuras, has a budget of <strong data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"594\">2.6 million euros<\/strong> and is part of the road agreement signed with the Balearic Government. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"668\" data-end=\"892\">The project represents a <strong data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"775\">new step in the modernization of the island&#8217;s main road infrastructure<\/strong>, a key corridor that supports a large part of the daily movements of both residents and visitors.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"966\"><strong data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"966\">Four months of work to reinforce safety and durability<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"1361\">The project is expected to take <strong data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1027\">four months<\/strong> to complete and is designed to improve safety, the durability of the road surface and the functionality of the road. According to the second vice-president and councilor of the area, Javier Serra, this is a strategic intervention to &#8220;improve road safety, optimize drainage and modernize a fundamental section for mobility on the island&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1363\" data-end=\"1732\">The works include the <strong data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1427\">complete rehabilitation of the road surface<\/strong> and shoulders, the renewal of the horizontal and vertical signage, as well as the undergrounding of services and the replacement of shoulders. Work will also be carried out on the rainwater network to ensure more efficient drainage and prevent flooding during heavy rainfall events. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1807\"><strong data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1807\">Intervention at a hot spot: the Porto-Sal\u00e8 crossroads<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1809\" data-end=\"1994\">One of the most outstanding elements of the project is the intervention at the <strong data-start=\"1883\" data-end=\"1906\">Porto-Sal\u00e8 intersection<\/strong>, an area with a history of accidents due to the existing slope.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1996\" data-end=\"2226\">The project will <strong data-start=\"2014\" data-end=\"2072\">correct the grade to facilitate access<\/strong>, improve the field of vision and reorganize the drainage system, which will significantly increase safety at this critical point of the road.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2233\" data-end=\"2294\"><strong data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2294\">New pedagogical radars to reinforce security<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2296\" data-end=\"2626\">The plan includes the installation of <strong data-start=\"2330\" data-end=\"2390\">two solar-powered digital educational radars<\/strong>, located before and after the Porto-Sal\u00e8 intersection. These devices will project variable messages to drivers in order to encourage safer driving and reduce speed on a particularly sensitive stretch. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2633\" data-end=\"2673\"><strong data-start=\"2637\" data-end=\"2673\">A boost after years of no improvement<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2675\" data-end=\"3012\">For Serra, this tender represents &#8220;a step forward in the consolidation of a safer road network, after many years without any improvement or maintenance work&#8221;.
