Despite the legal recognition of the right to health, <strong data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1663\">many people continue to encounter obstacles that prevent them from receiving care on equal terms<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"2342\">Housing and the economy<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"2342\">Among the main administrative barriers are <strong data-start=\"1786\" data-end=\"1858\">the requirements of registration or residence for more than three months<\/strong>, which exclude those who live in informal rents, substandard housing or are homeless. The NGO stresses that this situation <strong data-start=\"2000\" data-end=\"2046\">is aggravated in the case of minors and pregnant women<\/strong>, who should be guaranteed unrestricted care. Added to this is the &#8220;<strong data-start=\"2129\" data-end=\"2160\">bureaucratization of the right<\/strong>&#8220;, which obliges foreigners to go through additional procedures and <strong data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2252\">unjustifiably delays<\/strong> access.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2344\" data-end=\"2821\">Economic barriers are also a determining factor: many people suffer from <strong data-start=\"2424\" data-end=\"2450\">&#8220;pharmaceutical poverty&#8221;,<\/strong> as they cannot afford to pay for medicines, assume co-payments of 40% or pay emergency bills, which <strong data-start=\"2549\" data-end=\"2595\">acts as a brake and puts their health at risk<\/strong>. Doctors of the World adds that there are <strong data-start=\"2633\" data-end=\"2651\">hidden costs<\/strong>, such as transport or uncovered health products, which make access even more difficult. <strong data-start=\"2742\" data-end=\"2821\">In Ibiza, social entities have warned of the increase of these situations.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2344\" data-end=\"2821\">Physical barriers<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2823\" data-end=\"3245\">Physical barriers include a <strong data-start=\"2853\" data-end=\"2893\">lack of nearby health centers<\/strong>, restricted opening hours, and architectural obstacles that prevent access for people with reduced mobility. These limitations particularly affect those who <strong data-start=\"3058\" data-end=\"3095\">work in precarious conditions<\/strong>, with no possibility of being absent for medical appointments. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2823\" data-end=\"3245\">Information and cultural barriers<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3247\" data-end=\"3750\">Another relevant block is information barriers, which reflect the <strong data-start=\"3316\" data-end=\"3381\">absence of clear information on rights and procedures<\/strong>, lack of interpretation and, on occasion, <strong data-start=\"3424\" data-end=\"3470\">misinformation from administrative personnel<\/strong>, who may demand unforeseen requirements or even deny access in an unjustified manner. The situation worsens when there are <strong data-start=\"3604\" data-end=\"3647\">episodes of racism or verbal violence<\/strong> towards migrants or racialized people. <strong data-start=\"3691\" data-end=\"3750\">Local NGOs have detected similar cases in Ibiza.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3752\" data-end=\"4200\">Cultural barriers complete the diagnosis: according to the organization, there is a <strong data-start=\"3827\" data-end=\"3852\">lack of sensitivity<\/strong> to sociocultural needs such as preference for professionals of the same sex or respect for religious practices. The NGO points out that <strong data-start=\"3994\" data-end=\"4127\">the absence of intercultural mediation and the lack of training in anti-racist and gender perspective perpetuate these data-end=\"4668\">Universal Health Law<\/strong>, ensuring care for minors, pregnant women and emergencies, guaranteeing free access to medicines for vulnerable people and <strong data-start=\"4800\" data-end=\"4834\">disassociating registration as<\/strong> the only means of proof of residence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4957\" data-end=\"5467\">At the regional level, Doctors of the World Balearic Islands asks for <strong data-start=\"5009\" data-end=\"5053\">translation and interpretation services<\/strong>, intercultural mediation in health centers, reinforcement of social services, recognition of reports of the Third Sector, avoiding parallel procedures for foreigners and <strong data-start=\"5240\" data-end=\"5332\">health and administrative training in regulations and anti-racist and gender perspective<\/strong>, in addition to specific protocols to assist migrants.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5469\" data-end=\"5803\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"5470\" data-end=\"5611\">It is vital to ensure that all people, regardless of their administrative or economic situation, can exercise this fundamental right<\/strong>,&#8221; concludes the entity, which
