The celebrations will start this Friday with the lighting of the Christmas lights and the official opening of the Mercat de Nadal, an event that this year comes with new features and a clear family vocation. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1295\">During the presentation, Serra stressed that the festivities are &#8220;synonymous with participation and family fun&#8221;, while Tur remarked that the program is &#8220;open, varied and especially designed for family audiences&#8221;, with new musical proposals and a reinforcement of local culture.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1295\">\n<h5><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/what-to-do\/ibiza-gets-ready-to-shine-christmas-lights-switch-on-dates-in-each-municipality\/\">Ibiza gets ready to shine: Christmas lights switch-on dates in each municipality<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1366\"><strong data-start=\"1305\" data-end=\"1366\">Lighting of the lights, Christmas Market and family spaces.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1368\" data-end=\"1778\">The official start will be this <strong data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1428\">Friday 28 at 18.30 hours<\/strong> in the Passeig de ses Fonts. The lighting of the lights and the Christmas tree will be accompanied by a carol recital performed by students of the municipality. Then, the <strong data-start=\"1633\" data-end=\"1652\">Mercat de Nadal<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1694\">Space of the Playful Elves<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"1700\" data-end=\"1730\">Tree of Good Wishes<\/strong>, which will form the heart of the Christmas circuit, will be inaugurated.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"2167\">The little ones will have a leading role: in the <strong data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1871\">Playful Elves Space<\/strong> they will be able to enjoy traditional games, craft workshops, storytelling and themed shows. Meanwhile, the <strong data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2023\">Tree of Good Wishes<\/strong> will offer a corner to hang messages for 2026, take pictures in the photocall of the Cierva Blanca and participate in a carol karaoke. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2650\">The <strong data-start=\"2172\" data-end=\"2191\">Mercat de Nadal<\/strong> is once again the centerpiece of the celebrations, with stalls of restaurants, crafts and stores around the fountains. This year incorporates an intense musical calendar with groups such as <strong data-start=\"2385\" data-end=\"2524\">The Rosemary Family, Antena Libre, Swingin T\u00f3nic Band, Soul Doctor, Ibosim Flamenco, Joven Dolores, Sof\u00eda Martin, Reya Thomas &amp; Friends<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"2527\" data-end=\"2544\">Esta me la s\u00e9<\/strong>, as well as theme parties organized by <strong data-start=\"2590\" data-end=\"2631\">La Verbenita, K Rico Party, La Movida<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2634\" data-end=\"2649\">Hippi House<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2169\" data-end=\"2650\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-139925 \" src=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/XMAS-A4-Poster-CAT-low-905x1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"646\" height=\"914\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/XMAS-A4-Poster-CAT-low-905x1280.jpg 905w, https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/XMAS-A4-Poster-CAT-low-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/XMAS-A4-Poster-CAT-low-768x1087.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/XMAS-A4-Poster-CAT-low.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 646px) 100vw, 646px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2657\" data-end=\"2717\"><strong data-start=\"2660\" data-end=\"2717\">Culture, tradition and proposals for all ages<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2719\" data-end=\"3181\">In addition to the market, the program incorporates a large cultural block. The <g id=\"gid_0\">Far de ses Coves Blanques<\/g> will host the dramatized experience <g id=\"gid_1\">&#8220;Vincles&#8221;,<\/g> which will be performed on December 20, 21, 27, 28, 29 and 30 and January 2, 3 and 4. On December 20, the parish of Can Bonet will be illuminated with classical music and videomapping within the cycle <strong data-start=\"3067\" data-end=\"3083\">Ones de llum<\/strong>, while the Regio cinema will hold a special concert of <strong data-start=\"3147\" data-end=\"3166\">Eivissa Daurada<\/strong> on January 2.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3183\" data-end=\"3626\">Tradition will also play a central role. On <strong data-start=\"3232\" data-end=\"3251\">December 13<\/strong> a living nativity scene will be staged on the porch of the church, and on <strong data-start=\"3319\" data-end=\"3338\">December 14<\/strong> the municipal nativity scene of the nativity scene designer <strong data-start=\"3386\" data-end=\"3404\">Jes\u00fas Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> will be inaugurated, located this year in Santa Agn\u00e8s street, 4. On <strong data-start=\"3457\" data-end=\"3476\">December 18<\/strong>, the festival of the Elderly in the Clot Mar\u00e8s and the <strong data-start=\"3525\" data-end=\"3544\">Xacota de Nadal<\/strong> in the passeig de ses Fonts will bring together peasant dancing, traditional games and fritters.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3628\" data-end=\"4144\">The program is completed with activities for young people in the <strong data-start=\"3687\" data-end=\"3701\">Espai Jove<\/strong>, which will include workshops, anime days and a gymkhana, as well as a virtual reality activity this Friday in <strong data-start=\"3818\" data-end=\"3839\">Es Mol\u00ed d&#8217;en Sim\u00f3<\/strong>. The solidarity aspect is reflected in events such as the <strong data-start=\"3892\" data-end=\"3924\">Papanoelada Motera Solidaria (<\/strong> December 21), the festival <strong data-start=\"3956\" data-end=\"3985\">Por la sonrisa de un ni\u00f1o (<\/strong> December 13) and the <strong data-start=\"4025\" data-end=\"4038\">New Moves<\/strong> dance workshop, whose proceeds will go to <strong data-start=\"4072\" data-end=\"4084\">Ibiza In<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"4092\" data-end=\"4143\">Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola del C\u00e1ncer Meta Metast\u00e1tico<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4146\" data-end=\"4288\">In the sports section, <strong data-start=\"4180\" data-end=\"4193\">PatiNadal<\/strong>, the skating outing on December 20, and the <strong data-start=\"4242\" data-end=\"4272\">Fibwi Illes Balears Trophy<\/strong> of grassroots soccer stand out.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"4295\" data-end=\"4349\"><strong data-start=\"4298\" data-end=\"4349\">New Year&#8217;s Eve, Three Wise Men and closing of the holidays<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4351\" data-end=\"4884\">The program will culminate with the end of the year celebrations and the arrival of the Kings. On <strong data-start=\"4443\" data-end=\"4462\">December 31,<\/strong> the <strong data-start=\"4467\" data-end=\"4518\">New Year&#8217;s Eve Party Connexion T\u00f2quio &#8211; Market<\/strong> will animate the Passeig de ses Fonts from 13 hours.
