The project will <strong data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1280\">increase the surface area dedicated to musical activities fourfold<\/strong>, from the current 300 square meters to more than 1,200 square meters.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/importante-inversion-en-ibiza-asi-sera-can-ventosa-despues-de-su-ampliacion\/?swcfpc=1\">Major investment in Ibiza: this is what Can Ventosa will look like after its enlargement<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1506\">A key work for a building turning 100 years old<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"2106\">The Councilor for Culture and Heritage, <strong data-start=\"1544\" data-end=\"1564\">Carmen Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>, stressed that the expansion &#8220;<em data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1686\">is a clear sign of the commitment of the City Council of Ibiza with culture and education<\/em>&#8221; and that it is &#8220;<em data-start=\"1702\" data-end=\"1800\">a step forward to consolidate Can Ventosa as the great cultural and social heart of the city<\/em>&#8220;. The mayor stressed that, with this reform, <strong data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"1957\">the Patronato de M\u00fasica will gain space and better conditions to continue training new generations of musicians<\/strong>, which will strengthen the municipal cultural offer.<\/p>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"2110\" data-end=\"2185\">New floors: classrooms, offices and a rehearsal room for 100 musicians<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2186\" data-end=\"2684\">The project includes the construction of <strong data-start=\"2223\" data-end=\"2245\">two new floors<\/strong> and the remodeling of other areas of the building. It will include <strong data-start=\"2302\" data-end=\"2433\">modern classrooms, teachers&#8217; rooms, administrative offices and a large rehearsal room with capacity for more than one hundred musicians<\/strong>, one of the main demands of the Board of Trustees. <strong data-start=\"2506\" data-end=\"2546\">New services and test booths<\/strong> will also be incorporated to improve training activities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2728\" data-end=\"3214\">On the <strong data-start=\"2734\" data-end=\"2752\">second floor<\/strong> there will be a 10 m\u00b2 office next to the stairs. The <strong data-start=\"2814\" data-end=\"2832\">third floor<\/strong> will incorporate six new classrooms, two rehearsal booths, management and secretarial offices, a staff room and restrooms. The <strong data-start=\"2977\" data-end=\"2994\">fourth floor<\/strong> will house four additional classrooms and the large rehearsal room for more than one hundred performers, together with their corresponding services.<\/p>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"3218\" data-end=\"3258\">Improvements in accessibility and safety<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3259\" data-end=\"3805\">The renovation also includes the <strong data-start=\"3291\" data-end=\"3328\">enlargement of the elevator shaft<\/strong> to install a larger capacity elevator car and the <strong data-start=\"3378\" data-end=\"3433\">construction of an external emergency staircase<\/strong> connecting the floors to the auditorium roof.
