At a time when the island is multiplying public courses on digital procedures -such as municipal digital identification or workshops for the elderly-, the need for new hands has become urgent. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2722\" data-end=\"2774\"><strong data-start=\"2725\" data-end=\"2774\">Growing demand without sufficient personnel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"3204\">In conversation, Tarraso points out that the shortage is specific to the island: &#8220;<strong data-start=\"2854\" data-end=\"2920\">It is in Ibiza, in particular, where we find it most difficult<\/strong>&#8221; to fill the positions. The offer involves discontinuous fixed contracts, a format that makes it difficult to close a stable list of professionals. &#8220;<strong data-start=\"3063\" data-end=\"3140\">You can teach a course one week and then have two weeks off<\/strong>,&#8221; he added, an intermittency that conditions availability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3206\" data-end=\"3631\">The organization recalls that the digital divide, especially among the elderly, is manifested in everyday gestures: making a doctor&#8217;s appointment, downloading a certificate or carrying out a bank transaction. <strong data-start=\"3397\" data-end=\"3528\">The lack of trainers is a de facto obstacle for these groups to access basic tools for social participation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"3206\" data-end=\"3631\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/business\/how-technology-companies-reach-out-to-people-an-outsiders-perspective\/\">How technology companies reach out to people: an outsider&#8217;s perspective<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"3638\" data-end=\"3668\"><strong data-start=\"3641\" data-end=\"3668\">What &#8220;Yo Conecto&#8221; offers<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3670\" data-end=\"3863\">The program, structured in <strong data-start=\"3699\" data-end=\"3726\">eight hours of training<\/strong>, is aimed at adults and senior citizens, with sessions that can be divided into two or four classes. Tarraso summarizes the contents as follows: <\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3864\" data-end=\"4332\">\n<li data-start=\"3864\" data-end=\"3912\">\n<p data-start=\"3866\" data-end=\"3912\"><strong data-start=\"3866\" data-end=\"3909\">Safe use of the Internet and cybersecurity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3913\" data-end=\"3956\">\n<p data-start=\"3915\" data-end=\"3956\"><strong data-start=\"3915\" data-end=\"3953\">Online shopping and electronic banking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3957\" data-end=\"4023\">\n<p data-start=\"3959\" data-end=\"4023\"><strong data-start=\"3959\" data-end=\"4020\">Procedures with digital certificate, DNIe or permanent Cl@ve<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4024\" data-end=\"4077\">\n<p data-start=\"4026\" data-end=\"4077\"><strong data-start=\"4026\" data-end=\"4074\">Mobile core competencies and applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4078\" data-end=\"4122\">\n<p data-start=\"4080\" data-end=\"4122\"><strong data-start=\"4080\" data-end=\"4119\">Digital resume and personal branding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4123\" data-end=\"4194\">\n<p data-start=\"4125\" data-end=\"4194\"><strong data-start=\"4125\" data-end=\"4165\">Social networks and online protection<\/strong>, especially in young people.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4195\" data-end=\"4229\">\n<p data-start=\"4197\" data-end=\"4229\"><strong data-start=\"4197\" data-end=\"4226\">Prevention of cyberbullying<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4230\" data-end=\"4332\">\n<p data-start=\"4232\" data-end=\"4332\">And, in some cases, <strong data-start=\"4264\" data-end=\"4281\">more advanced<\/strong> content, such as an introduction to artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"4334\" data-end=\"4733\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"4335\" data-end=\"4515\">It is a broad course, it adapts to the needs of the group and can be given in town halls, educational centers, senior centers or organizations that work with the disabled<\/strong>,&#8221; said the coordinator. The Foundation includes prior training, materials and direct coordination with the entities. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"4740\" data-end=\"4808\"><strong data-start=\"4743\" data-end=\"4808\">Activities planned until May, but without a closed calendar<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4810\" data-end=\"5145\">The foundation has room to deploy activities in several municipalities &#8220;<strong data-start=\"4885\" data-end=\"4929\">from now until May of next year<\/strong>&#8220;, but the definitive calendar depends on closing the teaching team. &#8220;<strong data-start=\"5000\" data-end=\"5124\">We have quite a few activities organized and, depending on the availability of the trainer, we propose some or others<\/strong>,&#8221; Tarraso explained.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5147\" data-end=\"5441\">Without sufficient trainers, the organization cannot activate dates or communicate to the municipalities which weeks will be covered. For the NGO, <strong data-start=\"5287\" data-end=\"5365\">the bottleneck is not in demand, but in operational capacity<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"5448\" data-end=\"5519\"><strong data-start=\"5451\" data-end=\"5519\">What has already been done on the island: provisional and to be confirmed data<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5521\" data-end=\"5584\">Cibervolunteers differentiates two lines of work on the island:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"5585\" data-end=\"6061\">\n<li data-start=\"5585\" data-end=\"5887\">\n<p data-start=\"5588\" data-end=\"5887\"><strong data-start=\"5588\" data-end=\"5628\">Programs with contracted trainers.  <\/strong>Several digital camps have been carried out in alliance with different organizations (such as ACTEF- Associaci\u00f3 d&#8217;Altes Capacitats d&#8217;Eivissa i Formentera, Col-legi Sa Real, Sant Antoni De Portmany City Council). <strong data-start=\"5714\" data-end=\"5760\">Approximately 60 young people <\/strong>between 9 and 17 years old <strong data-start=\"5714\" data-end=\"5760\">have been trained <\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"5888\" data-end=\"6061\">\n<p data-start=\"5891\" data-end=\"6061\"><strong data-start=\"5891\" data-end=\"5932\">Technology volunteer programs<\/strong>, taught by cyber-volunteers, which have reached <strong data-start=\"5996\" data-end=\"6024\">some 60 adults<\/strong> in basic digital skills.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p data-start=\"6063\" data-end=\"6291\">These figures show that the entity has already woven a previous presence, although it now intends to extend the reach to all adult citizens.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"6298\" data-end=\"6357\"><strong data-start=\"6301\" data-end=\"6357\">Job requirements: information pending from HR<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>From the <strong>Human Resources<\/strong> area of the foundation, they point out: &#8220;We are looking for <strong>students or adults with studies related to education or with a focus on technological tools<\/strong>. They can be studying or working in other areas; the important thing is that they have availability and can combine it&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>At the same time, they clarify: &#8220;They must be profiles with some experience in the field of education or training with children, adolescents or adults&#8221;. And they ask to keep in mind that the work involves teaching &#8220;all kinds of groups: from people at risk of social exclusion to profiles with disabilities, citizens in general and senior citizens&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>In parallel, while programs such as <strong>Campamento Digital and YoConecto<\/strong> have specialized trainers, <strong>the rest of the programs are provided by cyber-volunteers<\/strong>, &#8220;who are also needed in the Balearic Islands,&#8221; the foundation explains.<\/p>\n<p>These volunteers do not require an expert use of technology. &#8220;You can help by sharing what you know. We do workshops from basic to advanced level,&#8221; they clarify. Volunteering can be online or face-to-face, and training is offered.  <\/p>\n<p>Today, the foundation&#8217;s volunteers make up an active community of more than 5,100 people.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"6799\" data-end=\"6832\"><strong data-start=\"6802\" data-end=\"6832\">How to apply<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"6834\" data-end=\"7094\">The call for trainers is still open through the <em data-start=\"6903\" data-end=\"6925\">Work with Us<\/em> portal of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cibervoluntarios.org\/\">Cibervolunteers<\/a>. From there, the Human Resources team contacts applicants to verify availability, area of residence and digital skills. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7096\" data-end=\"7457\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"7097\" data-end=\"7231\">Depending on the person&#8217;s r\u00e9sum\u00e9, their availability and where they live, they would be contacted to propose the activities we have<\/strong>,&#8221; Tarraso explained.
