The most outstanding fact is the increase in the <strong data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"761\">investment<\/strong> chapter, which soars by <strong data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"788\">30%<\/strong> to <strong data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"816\">15.3 million<\/strong>, financed almost entirely by a <strong data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"898\">13 million euro loan<\/strong>. This is the second consecutive year that the Consistory has resorted to a loan to promote major municipal projects.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1456\">The mayor, <strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1053\">Marcos Serra<\/strong>, and the councilman of Economy and Finance, <strong data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1108\">Antoni Mar\u00ed<\/strong>, have presented <strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1142\">today, Wednesday,<\/strong> the main lines of the budget, stressing that the City Council foresees higher revenues thanks to the increase in <strong data-start=\"1260\" data-end=\"1290\">direct taxes and fees<\/strong>. data-start=\"2505\" data-end=\"2724\">\n<p data-start=\"2507\" data-end=\"2724\">A first contribution of <strong data-start=\"2533\" data-end=\"2550\">150,000 euros<\/strong> for the future <strong data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2600\">sports complex of Can Coix<\/strong>, which includes two new soccer fields, five tennis courts and the <strong data-start=\"2668\" data-end=\"2707\">first indoor athletics track<\/strong> of the Pitiusas Islands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"2726\" data-end=\"2763\"><strong data-start=\"2730\" data-end=\"2763\">Education and cleanliness on the rise<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2765\" data-end=\"2962\">The <strong data-start=\"2780\" data-end=\"2793\">education<\/strong> chapter increases by <strong data-start=\"2805\" data-end=\"2812\">66%<\/strong>, an increase aimed at improving the salaries of the staff of the <strong data-start=\"2877\" data-end=\"2901\">Can Coix school<\/strong>, thus fulfilling a commitment made by the City Council.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2964\" data-end=\"3136\">In <strong data-start=\"2967\" data-end=\"2979\">cleaning<\/strong>, the budget is also growing: <strong data-start=\"3026\" data-end=\"3046\">new machinery<\/strong>, more <strong data-start=\"3052\" data-end=\"3064\">personnel<\/strong> and a specific reinforcement for the cleaning of <strong data-start=\"3110\" data-end=\"3135\">municipal buildings<\/strong> will be incorporated.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3138\" data-end=\"3181\"><strong data-start=\"3142\" data-end=\"3181\">Social spending and personnel control<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3183\" data-end=\"3386\">In <strong data-start=\"3186\" data-end=\"3208\">social services<\/strong>, Serra explained that the overall budget has not increased because &#8220;<strong data-start=\"3270\" data-end=\"3322\">it already triples the real needs of the municipality<\/strong>&#8220;, with funds distributed among different lines of action.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3388\" data-end=\"3593\">The mayor has also highlighted the <strong data-start=\"3423\" data-end=\"3461\">containment of personnel expenses<\/strong>, with the aim of avoiding an
