The works, as announced, <strong data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"887\">will begin next year<\/strong> and are part of the strategic plan to increase the supply of affordable housing exclusively for residents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1525\">The development contemplates the construction of <strong data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1104\">eight subsidized housing units for rent<\/strong>, located at <strong data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1154\">18 Vicent Serra i Orvay<\/strong> Street, on a 245 square meter lot with a maximum buildable area of 904.87 m\u00b2 distributed over five floors plus attic. The project will include <strong data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1336\">six two-bedroom dwellings<\/strong> -one of them adapted for people with disabilities- and <strong data-start=\"1391\" data-end=\"1426\">two three-bedroom duplexes<\/strong> that will occupy the fourth floor and the attic. The estimated budget is <strong data-start=\"1499\" data-end=\"1524\">1.8 million euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1974\">This will be the first of two developments that the City Council has ceded to Ibavi in the municipality, along with the future construction of <strong data-start=\"1663\" data-end=\"1701\">51 public housing units in Can Cant\u00f3<\/strong>, preferably for people with more than ten years of residence in Ibiza. The action is part of the <strong data-start=\"1816\" data-end=\"1840\">express procedure<\/strong> contemplated in the new <strong data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1879\">Law 4\/2025<\/strong>, which expedites the processing of public housing projects declared to be of regional interest.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2048\"><strong data-start=\"1980\" data-end=\"2048\">A boost that adds up to almost 300 new Ibavi homes in Ibiza<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2432\">The Mercat Pag\u00e8s development is the first of <strong data-start=\"2101\" data-end=\"2143\">six planned by Ibavi on the island<\/strong>, four of them on plots of land ceded by the Ibiza Town Hall, one on land belonging to the Island Council and another in <strong data-start=\"2256\" data-end=\"2271\">Sant Antoni<\/strong>, acquired from Sareb. The sixth corresponds to the part that Ibavi will execute in the urbanization of <strong data-start=\"2372\" data-end=\"2390\">Ca n&#8217;Escandell<\/strong>, dependent on the state-owned company Sepes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2434\" data-end=\"2761\">In total, Ibavi is promoting <strong data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2490\">almost 300 new<\/strong> public <strong data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2490\">housing units<\/strong> in Ibiza, within a shock plan that adds up to <strong data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"2586\">nearly 1,000 affordable housing units<\/strong> in different stages of processing, including the <strong data-start=\"2645\" data-end=\"2674\">&#8220;Build to Rent&#8221;<\/strong> program and the actions derived from <strong data-start=\"2709\" data-end=\"2723\">Law 3\/2024<\/strong> on emergency housing.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2763\" data-end=\"2824\"><strong data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"2824\">Municipal premises converted to affordable housing<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2826\" data-end=\"3171\">During the visit, Mateo and Triguero also supervised the conversion of <strong data-start=\"2912\" data-end=\"2952\">two municipal premises in Dalt Vila<\/strong> -located in UA27, at numbers 18 and 20 <strong data-start=\"3010\" data-end=\"3019\">Retir street-<\/strong>into affordable housing. The work, which began in March, <strong data-start=\"3088\" data-end=\"3118\">is now entering its final phase<\/strong> and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this month.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3173\" data-end=\"3425\">The mayor recalled that the City Council is in the process of converting <strong data-start=\"3260\" data-end=\"3287\">some fifteen premises<\/strong> into affordable housing, with the aim of taking advantage of unused spaces and increasing the residential offer for the city&#8217;s residents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3427\" data-end=\"3629\">&#8220;All these initiatives &#8211; those of Ibavi and the municipal ones &#8211; are aimed exclusively at <strong data-start=\"3519\" data-end=\"3533\">residents<\/strong> and represent a decisive step in the fight against homelessness in Ibiza,&#8221; Triguero stressed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3631\" data-end=\"3819\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The promotion is part of the Government&#8217;s shock plan, which provides for nearly 1,000 affordable housing units in Ibiza.
