The process to integrate the 311 IB3 workers<\/strong> into the Balearic Civil Service is about to be completed. In the next few days, the Government will send the letters confirming their incorporation as civil servants without the need for a competitive examination or interviews<\/strong>, a decisive step that puts an end to almost two decades of labor conflict in the Balearic Islands’ public broadcaster. <\/p>\n

The agreement was closed this Tuesday in a meeting of several hours between the Govern, the direction of the Public Entity and the Works Committee of IB3, where the final text that frames the employees within the administrative structure of the Executive presided by Marga Prohens<\/strong> was validated ,<\/strong> according to the information was advanced by OK Baleares<\/em>. With this, the threat of a new strike in the entity, which in the last years has registered multiple protests, escraches and calls for stoppage, is also removed. <\/p>\n

The Minister of Labor, Public Function and Social Dialogue, Catalina Cabrer<\/strong>, has been instrumental in unblocking a process that dates back to 2007, when the left-wing parties first promised internalization. The measure resurfaced in 2023 under the mandate of Francina Armengol<\/g>, but with a document so basic that, according to sources of the current Govern, it forced to redo everything “from scratch”. The Audit Office<\/strong> even denounced irregularities in that initial phase. <\/p>\n

The Civil Service technicians already have the signed agreements and are finalizing the definitive list of jobs<\/strong>, as well as the salary assignment and the professional framework that each employee will receive. If there are no further setbacks, the administrative integration could be completed this week, with only the individualized notification pending. <\/p>\n

Sources from the Conselleria assure that “the biggest obstacle has been overcome” and that the agreement marks a before and after for the labor stability in IB3.
