The tourist season in the Pitiusas closed October with a notable increase in hotel profitability indicators in most municipalities, especially in Formentera<\/strong> and Vila<\/strong>, while Sant Antoni<\/strong> became the only area where revenue per room fell slightly compared to the previous year. This is reflected in the latest data from the Balearic Institute of Statistics (IBESTAT)<\/strong>, which analyzes the behavior of RevPAR<\/strong>, the index that measures the average revenue per available room. <\/p>\n

Formentera leads growth with 22% more revenues<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The biggest increase was recorded in Formentera, where hotels reached a RevPAR of 172 euros<\/strong>, 22% more<\/strong> than in October 2024. The Lesser Pitiusa thus consolidates a particularly strong end of season, marked by high demand and sustained rates even in the final stretch of the tourist calendar. <\/p>\n

Vila, the area with the highest revenue per room<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Despite Formentera’s growth, it was the hotels in Vila<\/strong> that achieved the highest income for the month, with 205.5 euros per open room<\/strong>, up 14.2%<\/strong> year-on-year. Close behind was Sant Josep<\/strong>, with 195 euros<\/strong> and an increase of 4%<\/strong>, consolidating its position as one of the best-positioned areas in terms of profitability. <\/p>\n

In the rest of the municipalities, performance was more moderate:<\/p>\n

    Santa Eul\u00e0ria<\/strong>: 143 euros<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Sant Antoni<\/strong>: 120 euros (the only area with a decrease, 2% less than in 2024).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Falling prices at five-star hotels<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    The IBESTAT report also reflects a sharp drop in the average daily rate<\/strong> of five-star hotels open in October. The average stood at 269 euros<\/strong>, down 22.7%<\/strong> compared to the same month last year. <\/p>\n

    Average prices up in most of the Pitiusas islands<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    In global terms, the average price of the hotel offer in Ibiza and Formentera reached 136.9 euros<\/strong> in October, 3.5% more<\/strong> than in 2024. The breakdown by area shows large differences: <\/p>\n
