data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1382\">A contest that unites art and conservation<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1678\">All images are part of <strong data-start=\"1419\" data-end=\"1485\">MARE, Audiovisual Contest for the Conservation of the Balearic Sea<\/strong>, a photography and video contest that since 2020 invites professionals and amateurs to portray the beauty and threats of the sea surrounding the islands.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"2006\">The project, coordinated by the Marilles Foundation together with entities from the four islands, has been consolidated in its first five editions as <strong data-start=\"1824\" data-end=\"1883\">one of the reference events on the Balearic Sea<\/strong>, with thousands of images submitted and traveling exhibitions throughout the archipelago.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2357\">The organization recalls that the objective of MARE is not only to reward good photos, but to <strong data-start=\"2102\" data-end=\"2169\">&#8220;awaken consciences&#8221; and generate a tide of collective action<\/strong> in defense of the Balearic Sea, one of the richest in the Mediterranean but
