According to the municipal technical team, <strong data-start=\"1328\" data-end=\"1393\">most of the material removed corresponded to manure<\/strong>, accumulated over a long period in various cavities of the slope. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1900\">Due to the difficulty of access by land, <strong data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1634\">part of the intervention has been carried out from the sea<\/strong>, using a boat equipped with a crane that has allowed to lift <strong data-start=\"1698\" data-end=\"1748\">and move the waste of greater volume.<\/strong> This action has been essential to complete the total removal of the material stored inside the caves and areas of difficult handling. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/ibiza-is-one-step-away-from-european-recognition-as-a-pioneer-city-in-green-tourism\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza is one step away from European recognition as a Pioneer City in Green Tourism<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1907\" data-end=\"1971\"><strong data-start=\"1910\" data-end=\"1969\">Sealing of caves to avoid new accumulations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"2401\">Parallel to the cleaning, the City Council is proceeding to <strong data-start=\"2037\" data-end=\"2108\">close the caves where most of the waste was dumped<\/strong>, a measure aimed at <strong data-start=\"2133\" data-end=\"2207\">avoiding future accumulations of waste and reducing environmental risks<\/strong>, especially the fires already recorded in the area of Es Soto. <strong data-start=\"2292\" data-end=\"2400\">The Consistory considers this sealing a decisive step to guarantee the protection of the natural environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2905\">&#8220;<strong data-start=\"2451\" data-end=\"2505\">The intervention in Es Soto was urgent and necessary<\/strong>. We could not allow to maintain a focus of environmental and safety risk as the one that had been generated.
