The event, which took place at the <strong data-start=\"1079\" data-end=\"1093\">Sant Jordi<\/strong> cultural center, brought together representatives of the tourism sector, employers and local businessmen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"1174\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/sant-josep-approves-a-million-dollar-contract-to-renew-and-maintain-the-equipment-of-its-22-beaches\/\">Sant Josep approves a million-dollar contract to renew and maintain the equipment of its 22 beaches<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1651\">During the meeting, the participants gave a positive assessment of the season&#8217;s data, highlighting the <strong data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1313\">stability in occupancies<\/strong> and an <strong data-start=\"1319\" data-end=\"1369\">increase of 0.8% in cumulative air traffic<\/strong>. In addition, the promotional actions developed this year by the consistory were highlighted, including the presence at the <strong data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1583\">World Travel Market in London<\/strong> and the launch of the new campaign &#8220;<strong data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1649\">Sant Josep Full of Life<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"1901\"><strong data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"1740\">&#8220;We continue to work for an orderly, sustainable and balanced tourism model,&#8221;<\/strong> said the mayor, who recalled the municipal commitment to improving services such as <strong data-start=\"1830\" data-end=\"1900\">mobility, beach management and institutional coordination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"1944\">Demands of the tourism sector<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1946\" data-end=\"2095\">Despite the good data, industry professionals agreed on several critical points that require urgent attention. Among them, they highlighted: <\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2097\" data-end=\"2607\">\n<li data-start=\"2097\" data-end=\"2215\">\n<p data-start=\"2099\" data-end=\"2215\">The <strong data-start=\"2102\" data-end=\"2153\">need to make progress in deseasonalization<\/strong> in order to better distribute tourist pressure throughout the year.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2216\" data-end=\"2304\">\n<p data-start=\"2218\" data-end=\"2304\"><strong data-start=\"2218\" data-end=\"2270\">Structural problems in public transportation<\/strong>, especially during high season.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2305\" data-end=\"2389\">\n<p data-start=\"2307\" data-end=\"2389\">The <strong data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2352\">planning of cab services in the<\/strong> face of high demand during peak months.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2390\" data-end=\"2498\">\n<p data-start=\"2392\" data-end=\"2498\">Difficulties in finding <strong data-start=\"2420\" data-end=\"2444\">qualified personnel<\/strong>, a growing challenge for the hotel and restaurant industry.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2499\" data-end=\"2607\">\n<p data-start=\"2501\" data-end=\"2607\">The <strong data-start=\"2504\" data-end=\"2547\">renewal of beach concessions<\/strong>, a recurring concern among coastal entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2702\" data-end=\"3091\">The active participation of the <strong data-start=\"2730\" data-end=\"2795\">island director of Tourism Promotion of the Consell de Ibiza<\/strong>, Juan Miguel Costa, brought an insular vision to the event, although the main focus revolved around the municipal analysis.
