On November 30, 2025, the public hospitals of the archipelago accumulated <strong data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"651\">16,031 patients pending surgery<\/strong>, some 3,000 more than a year earlier, and the average delay rose to <strong data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"735\">105.59 days<\/strong>, according to data published by the Conselleria de Salud. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"472\" data-end=\"794\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/la-estrategia-de-can-misses-que-redujo-drasticamente-las-demoras-en-consultas-pero-dejo-un-efecto-colateral\/\">The Can Misses strategy that drastically reduced delays in consultations but left a &#8220;collateral effect&#8221;.<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"1037\">In this regional context of increase, the data allow us to visualize <strong data-start=\"869\" data-end=\"965\">in which specialties the greatest care pressure is concentrated in the Hospital de Can Misses<\/strong>, although the report does not detail the inter-annual evolution for each center.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1132\"><strong data-start=\"1043\" data-end=\"1132\">Traumatology and general surgery, the services with the most patients waiting in Ibiza<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1134\" data-end=\"1353\">Can Misses registers <strong data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1239\">600 patients on the surgical waiting list for orthopedic surgery and traumatology<\/strong>, placing it among the centers with the highest volume in this specialty after Son Espases and the Hospital de Manacor.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1522\">In <strong data-start=\"1358\" data-end=\"1389\">general and digestive surgery<\/strong>, the Ibizan hospital has <strong data-start=\"1417\" data-end=\"1434\">474 patients<\/strong> waiting for surgery, behind Son Espases (1,351) and Son Ll\u00e0tzer (1,231).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1592\">Other specialties with a high care load in Ibiza are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1902\">\n<li data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1659\">\n<p data-start=\"1596\" data-end=\"1659\"><strong data-start=\"1596\" data-end=\"1612\">Ophthalmology<\/strong>: 456 people on surgical waiting list.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1759\">\n<p data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1759\"><strong data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1692\">Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)<\/strong>: 469 patients, one of the highest volumes in the archipelago.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1760\" data-end=\"1902\">\n<p data-start=\"1762\" data-end=\"1902\"><strong data-start=\"1762\" data-end=\"1774\">Urology<\/strong>: the teletype does not give a specific figure for Can Misses, although this specialty exceeds 1,300 cases overall in the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1904\" data-end=\"2178\">These data reflect the weight that Ibiza has in the surgical waiting lists of the archipelago, although they <strong data-start=\"2010\" data-end=\"2085\">do not allow us to state whether there has been an increase or reduction with respect to 2024<\/strong> in the Ibizan hospital, a comparison that does appear in the global information of the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2299\">Outpatient clinics: rehabilitation and neurology, among the most stressed services at the Ibizan hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2301\" data-end=\"2497\">In the field of outpatient consultations, the Balearic Islands accumulates <strong data-start=\"2358\" data-end=\"2378\">87,700 patients<\/strong> waiting, with an average delay of <strong data-start=\"2414\" data-end=\"2428\">63.89 days<\/strong>.
