The public company has awarded <strong data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"692\">eight contracts for works and artistic collections<\/strong> destined to be displayed in the future Ibizan Parador, for a total amount of <strong data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"792\">133,907.48 euros<\/strong>, according to different tenders published in the Public Sector Procurement Platform. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/actualidad\/ibiza-y-paradores-firman-la-paz-pero-no-dan-fecha-de-apertura-del-hotel-que-lleva-dos-decadas-en-construccion\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza and Paradores sign peace agreement but no opening date for hotel that has been under construction for two decades<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"1248\">According to the award announcements, they are a <strong data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"996\">mix of established and contemporary artists<\/strong>, with formats ranging from sculpture to engraving. The contracts specify that all the pieces are to be exhibited in the future Parador, which will be the chain&#8217;s first establishment in the Balearic Islands and the 99th in the network. <\/p>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1296\">An artistic project with its own stamp<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1974\">The aesthetic commitment of the new Parador is not new. Back in October, Paradores presented at the contemporary art fair <g id=\"gid_0\">Estampa 2025<\/g> the <g id=\"gid_1\">artistic project of the Parador de Ibiza<\/g>, advancing part of the works that have now been formally acquired through public bidding.at that time, the chain stressed that the artistic program of the hotel is <g id=\"gid_2\">inspired by the &#8220;visual paradise&#8221; of the sea of Ibiza<\/g>, its chromatic richness and its cultural tradition. The idea is for the future Parador to combine different techniques and styles -painting, photography, sculpture, installation, ceramics or graphic work- and to dialogue with the island&#8217;s territory, light and history.  <\/p>\n<h2><strong>The works that will dress the future Parador of Dalt Vila<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2335\" data-end=\"2380\">The acquisitions now formalized include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2384\" data-end=\"2449\"><strong data-start=\"2384\" data-end=\"2401\">&#8220;P18\/80 V.07&#8221;,<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"2406\" data-end=\"2421\">David Mag\u00e1n<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2427\" data-end=\"2446\">454.54 euros.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2452\" data-end=\"2525\"><strong data-start=\"2452\" data-end=\"2472\">&#8220;Sea in texture&#8221;,<\/strong> by the artist <strong data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2501\">Manu Iranzo<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2507\" data-end=\"2522\">900 euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2528\" data-end=\"2626\"><strong data-start=\"2528\" data-end=\"2570\">Collection of eight &#8220;ice cream&#8221; sculptures,<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"2575\" data-end=\"2599\">Juan Miguel Qui\u00f1ones<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2605\" data-end=\"2623\">926.08 euros.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2629\" data-end=\"2698\"><strong data-start=\"2629\" data-end=\"2658\">Two engravings by Joan Mir\u00f3<\/strong>, incorporated for <strong data-start=\"2677\" data-end=\"2695\">057.86 euros.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2701\" data-end=\"2768\"><strong data-start=\"2701\" data-end=\"2743\">Collection of engravings by Juan Escudero<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2749\" data-end=\"2765\">219 euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2847\"><strong data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2793\">&#8220;Triangulated Lake&#8221;,<\/strong> by artist <strong data-start=\"2807\" data-end=\"2822\">Miler Lagos<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2828\" data-end=\"2844\">000 euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2850\" data-end=\"2936\"><strong data-start=\"2850\" data-end=\"2888\">&#8220;The Swimmer I&#8221; and &#8220;The Swimmer II&#8221;,<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"2893\" data-end=\"2911\">Rodrigo Romero<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"2933\">000 euros.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2939\" data-end=\"3003\"><strong data-start=\"2939\" data-end=\"2961\">&#8220;Tierra inc\u00f3gnita&#8221;,<\/strong> by <strong data-start=\"2966\" data-end=\"2980\">Nuria Mora<\/strong>, for <strong data-start=\"2986\" data-end=\"3002\">350 euros<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3005\" data-end=\"3185\">All of these purchases are listed as supply contracts that have already <strong data-start=\"3065\" data-end=\"3093\">been resolved and formalized<\/strong>, with award dates concentrated in November and, above all, on <strong data-start=\"3166\" data-end=\"3184\">December 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"3191\" data-end=\"3241\">A public art gallery in the heart of Dalt Vila<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3243\" data-end=\"3626\">Beyond the economic data, the acquisition sheet fits with the identity that Paradores seeks for its landing on the island: <strong data-start=\"3372\" data-end=\"3430\">contemporary, colorful and playful works<\/strong>, combined with important names in Spanish art, such as Joan Mir\u00f3, Josep Guinovart or Pablo Genov\u00e9s, whose works will also integrate the collection of the future hotel as announced by the chain in Estampa.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3628\" data-end=\"4010\">The artistic proposal -which will include painting, sculpture, photography, installation and ceramics- aims to turn the historic building into <strong data-start=\"3765\" data-end=\"3795\">a sort of living gallery<\/strong>, in dialogue with the light, the sea and Ibiza&#8217;s heritage. When it opens its doors, the new Parador will not only expand the island&#8217;s hotel offerings: it <strong data-start=\"3943\" data-end=\"4009\">will be a public cultural space in the heart of Dalt Vila<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<h2>The opening, an unknown<\/h2>\n<p>Tenders to refurbish the Parador de Ibiza have been piling up in recent months, although Paradores de Espa\u00f1a remains tight-lipped about the opening date. <strong>La Voz de Ibiza<\/strong> has made numerous inquiries, which the state-owned company has not answered. <\/p>\n<p>The unknown drags a long history of delays: although the idea of the Parador de Ibiza was born in 2004 and the works began in 2008, the works were paralyzed in 2012 after the discovery of archaeological remains, which forced to rethink much of the project. After a resumption in 2019, setbacks have followed: chained tenders, new complementary works in 2025, and in the last stretch an unexpected problem: municipal works on the access (the Cam\u00ed del Calvari) that forced to postpone once again the opening. Although on several occasions it was announced that the opening would be in 2024 or early 2025, the exact date has not yet been set.  <\/p>\n<p>A month ago, at the <strong>World Travel Market in London<\/strong>, the mayor of Ibiza, Rafael Triguero, reported that a &#8220;road map&#8221;
