The swimmer Renee \u00c1lvarez<\/strong> has been distinguished with the Feim Esport Award to the best sportswoman of Santa Eul\u00e0ria des Riu<\/strong>, the highest individual recognition of the gala organized by the City Council, which this year has gathered at the Palacio de Congresos de Ibiza the great protagonists of municipal sport. In total, 28 athletes<\/strong> have received their award as the best of the season in their respective disciplines. <\/p>\n

A brilliant trajectory in national swimming<\/h2>\n

Renee \u00c1lvarez’s list of achievements is proof of an outstanding year. The athlete has won five gold medals in the Spanish Alev\u00edn Championship<\/strong> -in the 200 meters backstroke, 400 meters backstroke, 200 meters freestyle, 100 meters backstroke and 400 meters freestyle- and has been proclaimed first in the National Ranking in the Alev\u00edn category<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

These results have made her worthy of the award for the best athlete of 2025, an award she received from the mayoress of Santa Eul\u00e0ria des Riu, Carmen Ferrer<\/strong>. During her speech, the mayor stressed that “her career is an example of how talent, combined with effort, discipline and the will to improve every day, can lead to exceptional results<\/strong>“. She also stressed that “behind every mark and every triumph there are strong values and a way of understanding sport based on respect and self-improvement<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n

Recognition beyond the competition<\/h2>\n

In addition to awarding the best athletes in each modality, the Feim Esport Awards<\/strong> include special distinctions aimed at recognizing values, commitment and trajectories that contribute to the development of sport in the municipality.<\/p>\n

The Best Team Award<\/strong> went to Pe\u00f1a Deportiva Gimn\u00e1stica R\u00edtmica<\/strong>, after achieving promotion to the first category. For its part, the Best Club<\/strong> went to Club Tennis Taula Santa Eul\u00e0ria<\/strong>, runner-up in the Division of Honor league, second national category. <\/p>\n

The recognition for Best Coach<\/strong> was awarded to Javi Bonet Salva<\/strong>, a reference in local and national swimming, for his ability to take his athletes to the top. His career includes seven medals in Spanish championships<\/strong>, 58 medals in Balearic championships<\/strong> and the classification of ten swimmers for Spanish championships<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In the category of Best Volunteer<\/strong>, the award went to Civil Protection<\/strong>, for their indispensable commitment in the development of sporting events in the municipality. The award for Best Referee<\/strong> went to Joaqu\u00edn Paniello Arolas<\/strong>, a national level referee of the highest category, with more than twenty years of experience and an outstanding professional career. <\/p>\n

Track records, sponsorship and special mentions<\/h2>\n

The award for Best Individual<\/strong> was given to Felipe S\u00e1nchez Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>, who celebrates 25 years at the head of the Santa Eulalia Cycling Club<\/strong>, consolidating a continued key work for the promotion of cycling in Santa Eul\u00e0ria.<\/p>\n

The award for Best Sponsor<\/strong> went to Palau Services<\/strong>, for its constant involvement with numerous teams and disciplines, its support in attracting new sponsors and its essential role in the growth of local sports.<\/p>\n

The gala also awarded a Special Mention<\/strong> to Mariano Segu\u00ed<\/strong>, a much-loved figure in the municipality for his passion and collaboration with sports, and to Juan Jos\u00e9 D\u00edaz<\/strong>, director of the Sports Science area of the Mexican team Pachuca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A firm commitment against violence in sports<\/h2>\n

The gala also served to highlight the campaign against violence in sport<\/strong> promoted this year by the City Council of Santa Eul\u00e0ria. Under the slogan “Guanya en respecte, per un esport sa”,<\/strong> the initiative promotes a safe, respectful and tolerant sports environment, eradicating any form of physical or verbal violence. <\/p>\n

The campaign has addressed different areas, from sports clubs and elite athletes to educational centers, institutions and influential actors. In this context, the City Council recalled that Santa Eul\u00e0ria already has a regulation for the use and operation of sports facilities<\/strong>, as well as an action protocol<\/strong> that facilitates the adoption of good practices by clubs. <\/p>\n
