Most of the infections correspond to <strong data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"780\">influenza A<\/strong>, which concentrates 55% of the cases, followed by influenza B. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"841\" data-end=\"1103\">After Ibiza, the highest rate is recorded in <strong data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"906\">Menorca (75.3)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"928\">Mallorca (70.8)<\/strong>, while <strong data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"1003\">Formentera has a significantly lower incidence<\/strong>, with <strong data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1051\">25.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants<\/strong>, making it the island with the lowest incidence.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/society\/influenza-moves-ahead-and-forces-a-new-look-at-the-vaccine-whos-warning-on-the-spread-of-subvariant-k\/?swcfpc=1\">Influenza moves ahead and forces a new look at the vaccine: WHO&#8217;s warning on the spread of subvariant K<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1133\">Low risk scenario<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1552\">Despite the increase in infections, the Balearic Islands remains in <strong data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1205\">stage I<\/strong> of the Protocol of Recommendations for the Control of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health, which corresponds to a low risk situation. In this context, the health authorities recommend the <strong data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"1481\">use of masks for people with respiratory symptoms<\/strong>, as well as in <strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1551\">vulnerable environments or with a high influx of people<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1816\">The Regional Ministry of Health has reinforced these recommendations in view of the increase in cases and has insisted on the <strong data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1705\">importance of influenza vaccination<\/strong>, especially at the beginning of the epidemic period, to ensure high coverage in the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1818\" data-end=\"1852\">Health contingency plan<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1854\" data-end=\"2161\">In view of the expected increase in the pressure of care due to respiratory viruses, IbSalut maintains an active <strong data-start=\"1966\" data-end=\"1990\">contingency plan<\/strong> that includes the <strong data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2057\">provision of up to 215 hospital beds<\/strong> throughout the Balearic Islands, as well as coordination between hospitals, primary care and SAMU 061.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2442\">For the moment, the activations have been concentrated in Mallorca, with reinforcements of beds and health personnel in centers such as <strong data-start=\"2288\" data-end=\"2303\">Son Espases<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2306\" data-end=\"2321\">Son Ll\u00e0tzer<\/strong>, although the device is prepared to adapt to the epidemiological evolution in the rest of the islands, including Ibiza.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2444\" data-end=\"2608\">Health authorities recommend the population to go to the
