The calendar of the Parador de Ibiza<\/strong> is still without a day marked in red, but the mayor of Vila, Rafael Triguero<\/strong>, has already set a deadline to clear unknowns. The City Council expects to have in the first quarter of 2026 a “real and definitive” date for the opening<\/strong> of the expected hotel establishment in Dalt Vila. <\/p>\n

A deadline to clear up uncertainties<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The statements were made during the inauguration of the Cam\u00ed del Calvari<\/strong> and were picked up by Diario de Ibiza<\/em>, media to which the mayor detailed the current status of the project.<\/p>\n

“A lot of work is being done by Paradores<\/strong>. This morning are here the technicians responsible and I know that inside the Parador there are operators,” said Triguero. According to him, the municipal objective is to have concrete information about the opening during the first months of next year. <\/p>\n

“We have set the milestone that in the first quarter we have to have the certainty of that real opening date<\/strong>,” insisted the mayor, who avoided confirming whether the inauguration could also take place in the same period.<\/p>\n

The shock of summer and the frustrated opening of October<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This new message comes months after the episode of greatest tension between Vila and Paradores<\/strong>, lived at the beginning of the summer, when the public company announced that the Parador would not open on the scheduled date of October<\/strong> and pointed directly to the City Council<\/strong> as responsible for the delay, citing access problems and pending works in the environment.<\/p>\n

From Vila, the municipal government rejected these accusations and publicly denounced the lack of coordination and communication on the part of Paradores, which led to a public exchange of reproaches<\/strong> that once again cast doubt on the project’s schedule.<\/p>\n

From accusations to “pacification” in London<\/strong><\/h2>\n

After that confrontation, relations between the two sides entered a more discreet phase. A few weeks ago, in London<\/strong>, institutional representatives took advantage of an international meeting of the tourism sector to lower tensions and redirect the relationship<\/strong>, laying the foundations for a more fluid collaboration.<\/p>\n

This change of tone is now underlined by Triguero, who speaks of “cordial” relations<\/strong> and a joint technical work to close the last details.<\/p>\n
