{"id":146921,"date":"2025-12-24T12:31:30","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T11:31:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/emergencies-activate-yellow-alert-for-rainfall-in-ibiza-and-formentera\/"},"modified":"2025-12-24T12:31:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T11:31:30","slug":"emergencies-activate-yellow-alert-for-rainfall-in-ibiza-and-formentera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/emergencies-activate-yellow-alert-for-rainfall-in-ibiza-and-formentera\/","title":{"rendered":"Emergencies activate yellow alert for rainfall in Ibiza and Formentera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"179\" data-end=\"392\">The <strong data-start=\"194\" data-end=\"213\">Emergency Service 112<\/strong> has activated this Wednesday the <strong data-start=\"244\" data-end=\"275\">severity index 0 (IG-0)<\/strong> of the <strong data-start=\"280\" data-end=\"297\">Meteobal Plan<\/strong>, corresponding to the <strong data-start=\"320\" data-end=\"339\">yellow alert<\/strong>, due to rain forecast in <strong data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"391\">Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"394\" data-end=\"624\">As reported by 112 in a message disseminated through its official account on the social network <strong data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"491\">X<\/strong>, the activation of the plan responds to the forecast of episodes of rain that could affect both islands during the next few hours.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"912\">In view of this situation, the Emergency Department has recommended <strong data-start=\"681\" data-end=\"712\">taking preventive measures<\/strong> to avoid the entry of water into homes, <strong data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"798\">remove or secure objects and furniture<\/strong> located outdoors that could be swept away by the water, as well as <strong data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"911\">avoiding access to flood-prone areas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"1119\">Likewise, 112 has requested <strong data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"981\">extreme caution when driving<\/strong>, especially on secondary roads and areas where water may accumulate, and to remember the importance of not crossing flooded stretches.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1505\">On the other hand, the <strong data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1183\">State Meteorological Agency (Aemet)<\/strong> has reported that it will activate from <strong data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1244\">23.00 hours<\/strong> the <strong data-start=\"1248\" data-end=\"1300\">yellow warning for coastal phenomena in Menorca<\/strong>.
