year, with moments of celebration and also of great difficulties<\/strong>, remembering especially the impact of the DANA that affected Ibiza and tested the response capacity of the institutions and society.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1524\"><strong data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1357\">The president expressly thanked the emergency services, municipalities, security forces, social entities and citizens for their work<\/strong>, highlighting the speed of action and underlining that work is already underway to reinforce infrastructures, protocols and resources to face future extreme events.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1581\">Tourism, intrusion and control of the vehicle fleet<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1788\"><strong data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1694\">The management of tourism and the fight against illegal activities have been another of the pillars of the speech<\/strong>, which Mar\u00ed has described as &#8220;key to the future of the economy and coexistence in Ibiza&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1790\" data-end=\"2059\">The president highlighted <strong data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"1880\">the increase in inspections and sanctions against intrusion<\/strong>, as well as the first results of the new vehicle regulation law, which has made it possible to <strong data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2058\">curb the uncontrolled growth of the vehicle fleet during the high season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2102\">Strategic projects for 2026<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2104\" data-end=\"2270\"><strong data-start=\"2104\" data-end=\"2226\">Looking ahead to 2026, the Consell Insular will continue to promote strategic projects to improve services and facilities<\/strong>, as Mar\u00ed said in his speech.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2272\" data-end=\"2623\">Among them, he mentioned <strong data-start=\"2295\" data-end=\"2360\">the works already underway on the new Official Language School<\/strong>, the creation of a space for the <strong data-start=\"2401\" data-end=\"2436\">maritime surveillance service<\/strong>, as well as relevant actions such as the <strong data-start=\"2478\" data-end=\"2503\">Ca\u00e7adors crossroads<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2508\" data-end=\"2551\">Ses Nou Rodades Heritage Center<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2556\" data-end=\"2570\">Parc Motor<\/strong> and a <strong data-start=\"2576\" data-end=\"2622\">new sports pavilion in sa Blanca Dona<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2630\" data-end=\"2668\">Housing and population growth<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2670\" data-end=\"2853\"><strong data-start=\"2670\" data-end=\"2762\">Access to housing has been identified as the main concern of citizens<\/strong>, recognizing the impact of population growth in a limited territory such as Ibiza.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2855\" data-end=\"3131\">Mar\u00ed defended the need to <strong data-start=\"2889\" data-end=\"2936\">increase the supply of affordable housing<\/strong> and warned that &#8220;when there is no housing, there are no opportunities either&#8221;, regretting that people who come to the island in search of a future are forced to live in precarious settlements.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3138\" data-end=\"3193\">Immigration and pressure on island services<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3382\"><strong data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3292\">The president has also raised his voice against the massive arrival of immigrant boats<\/strong>, a situation that, as he pointed out, has overwhelmed the island&#8217;s care services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3384\" data-end=\"3558\">In this context, he called <strong data-start=\"3415\" data-end=\"3451\">for legal and regulated immigration<\/strong> and a firm response against the mafias that traffic people, putting their lives at risk at sea.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3565\" data-end=\"3602\">An island of balance and cohesion<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3604\" data-end=\"3866\"><strong data-start=\"3604\" data-end=\"3693\">Mar\u00ed concluded by reaffirming the Consell&#8217;s commitment to a more balanced Ibiza<\/strong>, with more sustainable mobility, support for trade and the primary sector, protection of the territory and an improvement in public transport thanks to the new contract approved.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3868\" data-end=\"4093\">&#8220;The goal is an island that advances with criteria, that cares for its people and that demonstrates that together there are no challenges that we cannot overcome,&#8221;
