A filiation lawsuit filed in court has reopened an unknown episode in the personal life of the singer, who died in 1995, and has generated a strong family and media controversy. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"1133\">The protagonist of this story is <strong data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"744\">David Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>, a man around 40 years old, resident in Madrid, who claims to be the biological son of Juan Antonio Jim\u00e9nez Mu\u00f1oz, Jero&#8217;s real name. After a first failed attempt three years ago, he has now decided to go to court again with a new key element: a DNA test that, according to his defense, would prove a brotherhood relationship with one of the musician&#8217;s recognized sons. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1181\"><strong data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1181\">A lawsuit that is back in court<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1183\" data-end=\"1613\">David Espa\u00f1a has filed a new filiation lawsuit against <strong data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1272\">Jero from Los Chichos<\/strong>, based on genetic material that, if officially confirmed, would prove that he shares a biological link with <strong data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"1398\">Chaboli<\/strong>, one of the two children the artist had during his marriage to Araceli Borja. The immediate objective is for a judge to authorize an analysis with all the legal guarantees to confirm or definitively rule out the sibling relationship claimed to exist. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1979\" data-end=\"2040\"><strong data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2040\">The origin of the conflict: an extramarital affair<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2042\" data-end=\"2495\">David Espa\u00f1a&#8217;s account places the origin of this story in the <strong data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2132\">1980s<\/strong>. According to his version, <strong data-start=\"2152\" data-end=\"2175\">Jero de Los Chichos<\/strong> would have maintained for several years an extramarital relationship with his mother, despite being married and already having two recognized children. This relationship, always according to the plaintiff, would not have been an absolute secret in the artist&#8217;s environment, since the woman would have even accompanied him to some concerts.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2497\" data-end=\"2790\">During that period, David&#8217;s mother became pregnant when she was still a minor. Given the singer&#8217;s personal and family situation, and given that he already had a family, she decided to raise the child alone, without Jero ever officially acknowledging paternity. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2792\" data-end=\"3036\">Over the years, David tried to establish contact with the musician&#8217;s family and with those he considers his siblings, although he claims to have received no response. This lack of recognition was what led him to initiate the judicial process. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3038\" data-end=\"3088\"><strong data-start=\"3041\" data-end=\"3088\">The role of DNA and private investigation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3090\" data-end=\"3482\">One of the most controversial aspects of the case is the way in which the genetic sample used as the basis of the new lawsuit was obtained. According to the information provided, <strong data-start=\"3262\" data-end=\"3286\">a private detective<\/strong> would have obtained biological remains from <strong data-start=\"3338\" data-end=\"3364\">a cigarette butt<\/strong> attributed to Chaboli, as well as residues collected in the vicinity of his home in <strong data-start=\"3453\" data-end=\"3481\">El Puerto de Santa Mar\u00eda<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3484\" data-end=\"3787\">With this material, a genetic analysis would have been carried out that points to a <strong data-start=\"3577\" data-end=\"3587\">99.9%<\/strong> coincidence between David Espa\u00f1a and Chaboli, which would indicate a brotherly relationship. In declarations to a television program, he clearly expressed his objective: <strong data-start=\"4212\" data-end=\"4263\">&#8220;I want justice to recognize me as a son&#8221;.<\/strong> In another intervention he added: <strong data-start=\"4294\" data-end=\"4380\">&#8220;I believe that I deserve it and that I am in my full right to claim what is mine&#8221;.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4383\" data-end=\"4750\">According to his lawyer, the fundamental purpose of the lawsuit is to <strong data-start=\"4443\" data-end=\"4473\">safeguard his &#8220;dignity&#8221;<\/strong> and to obtain a legal recognition that, until now, he considers he has been denied. However, it has also been made clear that, if the lawsuit is successful, the next step could be a claim for part of the inheritance and musical rights derived from Jero&#8217;s work. <\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"4752\" data-end=\"4804\"><strong data-start=\"4755\" data-end=\"4804\">Chaboli&#8217;s reaction and family silence<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4806\" data-end=\"5084\">The response from <strong data-start=\"4834\" data-end=\"4857\">Jero de Los Chichos<\/strong> &#8216; entourage has not been long in coming, although it has been marked by caution and silence. Chaboli, one of David&#8217;s alleged biological brothers, has denied knowing the plaintiff and has stated that he has no information about this story. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5086\" data-end=\"5444\">According to the journalist Kike Calleja after talking to him, Chaboli assured: <strong data-start=\"5163\" data-end=\"5254\">&#8220;I have never been told about this story, I don&#8217;t know this guy, I have no idea&#8221;.<\/strong> When asked about the possibility of undergoing a DNA test, his reaction was even more categorical: <strong data-start=\"5362\" data-end=\"5443\">&#8220;I&#8217;m on my way to work, I&#8217;m not going to get into this, I&#8217;m not going to answer anything&#8221;.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5446\" data-end=\"5769\">The same journalist also contacted <strong data-start=\"5487\" data-end=\"5497\">Emilio<\/strong>, ex-member of Los Chichos, who admitted that the story was familiar to him, but preferred not to go deeper.
