{"id":147349,"date":"2025-12-29T14:00:18","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T13:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/balearic-islands-renews-30-recharging-points-to-improve-public-electric-mobility-network\/"},"modified":"2025-12-29T14:00:18","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T13:00:18","slug":"balearic-islands-renews-30-recharging-points-to-improve-public-electric-mobility-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/balearic-islands-renews-30-recharging-points-to-improve-public-electric-mobility-network\/","title":{"rendered":"Balearic Islands renews 30 recharging points to improve public electric mobility network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"654\">The Balearic Government, through the <strong data-start=\"374\" data-end=\"421\">Department of Enterprise, Self-Employment and Energy<\/strong>, is carrying out the <strong data-start=\"447\" data-end=\"486\">replacement of 30 recharging points of<\/strong> the <strong data-start=\"505\" data-end=\"514\">Melib<\/strong> public network with the aim of modernizing the existing equipment and improving the <strong data-start=\"581\" data-end=\"621\">quality, reliability and availability<\/strong> of the service for citizens.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"1264\">As reported by the Conselleria on Monday in a statement, the action takes place in <strong data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"790\">different municipalities of the archipelago<\/strong>. In <strong data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"802\">Ma\u00f3<\/strong>, the works are concentrated in the parking located in the <strong data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"913\">cam\u00ed de Ses Vinyes with Vives Llull Avenue<\/strong>, where several recharging points will be renewed. In <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"974\">Bunyola<\/strong>, the intervention will be carried out in the <strong data-start=\"1011\" data-end=\"1039\">Can Gual parking lot<\/strong>, while in <strong data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1072\">Ses Salines<\/strong> the work will take place in the <strong data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1124\">sports center parking<\/strong> lot and in several locations in <strong data-start=\"1157\" data-end=\"1182\">Col\u00f2nia de Sant Jordi<\/strong>, such as Francesc de Borja Moll avenue, Pr\u00edncep street and Primavera avenue.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1266\" data-end=\"1653\">The renewal of equipment also reaches other municipalities in <strong data-start=\"1329\" data-end=\"1341\">Mallorca<\/strong>, among them the <strong data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1389\">Son Tugores parking<\/strong> lot, in Alar\u00f3; <strong data-start=\"1404\" data-end=\"1427\">Raiguer Avenue<\/strong>, in Consell; <strong data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1464\">Marina road<\/strong>, in Porreres; two points in <strong data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1506\">Sant Joan<\/strong>, located in Petra and Francesc Mas i Galm\u00e9s streets; and the parking lot in <strong data-start=\"1586\" data-end=\"1605\">Fetget street<\/strong>, next to Mallorca square, in <strong data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"1652\">Son Servera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"2000\">Currently, the Melib network has <strong data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1728\">1,248 public charging stations<\/strong> distributed among <strong data-start=\"1746\" data-end=\"1787\">Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera<\/strong>, an implementation that, according to the Government, guarantees a balanced coverage throughout the island territory and reinforces the confidence of citizens in <strong data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"1999\">electric mobility as a real and viable alternative.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2002\" data-end=\"2459\">In addition to the replacement of the recharging points, the <strong data-start=\"2055\" data-end=\"2097\">corporate image<\/strong> of the Melib network has been <strong data-start=\"2055\" data-end=\"2097\">updated<\/strong>, with the aim of facilitating the identification of the chargers in the public space and reinforcing their visibility. In addition, a <strong data-start=\"2263\" data-end=\"2311\">unified comprehensive maintenance service<\/strong> has been implemented, which will enable faster attention to incidents, optimize response times and increase the effective availability of the equipment. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2461\" data-end=\"2943\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The reinforcement of the infrastructure is completed with new measures to support sustainable mobility. The Government has <strong data-start=\"2575\" data-end=\"2668\">increased by 13.5 million euros the funds of the Moves III 2025 program in the Balearic Islands<\/strong>, in order to respond to the high demand for aid.
