{"id":147623,"date":"2025-12-30T13:26:02","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T12:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/sin-categorizar\/fine-in-ibiza-renting-without-a-license-costs-75-of-the-value-of-the-home\/"},"modified":"2025-12-30T14:02:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T13:02:06","slug":"fine-in-ibiza-renting-without-a-license-costs-75-of-the-value-of-the-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/fine-in-ibiza-renting-without-a-license-costs-75-of-the-value-of-the-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Fine in Ibiza: renting without a license costs 75% of the value of the home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"202\" data-end=\"517\">The <strong data-start=\"205\" data-end=\"232\">Ibiza Town Hall <\/strong>has approved a <strong data-start=\"249\" data-end=\"283\">new sanction of 417,000 euros<\/strong> for illegal tourist rental, after initiating a <strong data-start=\"331\" data-end=\"428\">sanctioning file against the owner of a property located in the neighborhood of Es Viver<\/strong>, which was detected in <strong data-start=\"451\" data-end=\"459\">2024<\/strong> exercising this activity <strong data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"516\">without the required license.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"1023\">The decision was adopted on <strong data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"594\">Tuesday by the municipal Government Board<\/strong>, which considers the facts a <strong data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"645\">serious infringement<\/strong>, to use the property for a <strong data-start=\"676\" data-end=\"751\">use contrary to that established in the town planning of the municipality<\/strong>. The proposed penalty amounts to <strong data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"829\">75% of the market value of the property<\/strong>, as provided for in the current regulations, and is processed <strong data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"913\">through the urban planning process<\/strong>, independently of possible sanctions of a tourist nature that may be imposed by other administrations. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/prohens-imports-ibizas-model-in-the-fight-against-intrusiveness\/?swcfpc=1\">Prohens imports Ibiza&#8217;s model in the fight against intrusiveness<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1276\">The Consistory stresses that this type of action is part of the <strong data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1149\">fight against illegal tourist rentals<\/strong>, one of the main municipal priorities in view of the <strong data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1252\">serious problem of access to housing<\/strong> suffered by the municipality.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1278\" data-end=\"1650\">The regulations applied in this file are based on <strong data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1403\">Law 12\/2017, of December 29, on Urban Planning of the Balearic Islands<\/strong>, on the <strong data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1472\">revision of the General Urban Development Plan of Ibiza <\/strong>and on <strong data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1514\">Decree 1\/2024, of January 5,<\/strong> approving the Regulations of the sanctioning procedure of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/lavozdeibiza.com\/en\/current-news\/ibizas-surprising-distinction-to-a-high-ranking-saudi-arabian-official-in-the-fight-against-intrusiveness\/?swcfpc=1\">Ibiza&#8217;s surprising distinction to a high-ranking Saudi Arabian official in the fight against intrusiveness<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1652\" data-end=\"1975\">The mayor of Ibiza, <strong data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1694\">Rafael Triguero<\/strong>, has assured that the City Council will be &#8220;<strong data-start=\"1735\" data-end=\"1851\">relentless in its fight against intrusion in all areas, and especially in the tourist housing<\/strong>&#8220;.
