Palma<\/strong> has been consolidated as the most expensive destination in Spain to stay during the Christmas holidays in 2025<\/strong>, with an average price of 278 euros per night<\/strong>, according to the latest Price Index<\/strong> prepared by the vacation rental platform Holidu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Balearic capital tops the list ahead of Barcelona<\/strong>, with an average of 265 euros<\/strong>, and San Sebastian<\/strong>, with 230 euros per night<\/strong>, making it the city with the highest accommodation in the country during these dates.<\/p>\n

Madrid, the most sought-after destination<\/h3>\n

In terms of demand, the report places Madrid<\/strong> as the most sought-after destination for Christmas and New Year’s Eve travel, with an average rate of 222 euros per night<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is followed by Malaga<\/strong>, with an average price of 164 euros<\/strong>, and Granada<\/strong>, which completes the podium of the most sought-after destinations with an average of 170 euros per night<\/strong>. The ‘top 5’ is closed by Valencia<\/strong> (156 euros) and Benidorm<\/strong> (133 euros). <\/p>\n

Andalusia dominates the national ranking<\/h3>\n

The study also includes a regional analysis, in which Andalusia<\/strong> stands out as the region with the greatest presence among the most sought-after destinations: seven cities<\/strong> appear in the national ‘top 30’, including Malaga, Granada, Seville, Jerez de la Frontera, Cordoba, Cadiz and Conil de la Frontera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For its part, the Valencian Community<\/strong> contributes six destinations<\/strong> to the ranking, with prices ranging from 109 euros in Pe\u00f1iscola<\/strong> to 156 euros in Valencia city.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The cheapest options for travel in December<\/h3>\n

At the opposite end of the price table, Murcia<\/strong> is positioned as the most affordable option for those looking to travel in December, with an average price of 106 euros per night<\/strong>. Following it are Pe\u00f1\u00edscola (<\/strong> 109 euros), Conil de la Frontera<\/strong> (113 euros), C\u00e1diz<\/strong> (115.5 euros) and Tarragona<\/strong> (120 euros). <\/p>\n
