The City Council of Eivissa continues this Friday with the Christmas program through the Eivissa Jove Festival<\/strong>, an event dedicated to youth that will feature a live performance by the group Projecte Mut<\/strong>. The event will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at the envejado de Vara de Rey<\/strong> and is part of the Eivissa, Ciutat del Nadal<\/strong> program. <\/p>\n

A solidarity concert with educational involvement<\/h2>\n

The initiative directly involves the educational community of the municipality. Six high schools of Eivissa<\/strong> -Consolaci\u00f3, sa Real, Isidor Macabich, Blancadona, sa Colomina and Santa Maria- with about 250 students and 35 teachers<\/strong> involved in the organization. The proceeds obtained during the day will go entirely to finance the end-of-year trips for students in the 4th year of ESO<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

During the festival, the public will be able to buy hamburgers and hot dogs<\/strong>, with an expected 1,000 units<\/strong>, as well as cakes and chocolate<\/strong>, made by the students and teachers of Vocational Training of IES Isidor Macabich<\/strong>. The day will also include a photocall<\/strong> and a solidarity market<\/strong>, where each school will sell objects collected by the students themselves to increase the collection. <\/p>\n

An initiative with strong support from the centers<\/h2>\n

The Councilor for Youth of the City Council of Eivissa, Manuel Jimenez<\/strong>, has highlighted the excellent response from schools from the beginning. “From the first moment, the proposal generated a unanimous welcome, with enthusiasm and a great desire to collaborate. The coordination meetings have allowed the distribution of responsibilities in a climate of great cooperation,” he explained. <\/p>\n

Jimenez has detailed that the funds obtained from the sale of food and beverages will be distributed equally among the students of all participating schools<\/strong>, as direct support to defray the cost of the end-of-year trip.<\/p>\n

Call for citizen participation<\/h2>\n

The municipal responsible also wanted to expressly thank the involvement of the group Projecte Mut<\/strong>, which from the first moment showed its support and enthusiasm for this solidarity initiative.<\/p>\n

Finally, the City Council of Eivissa encourages young people, families and friends<\/strong> to participate in the Eivissa Jove Festival in order to maximize the collection and prevent the end-of-year trip from being an economic burden for families. It also stresses that this is the first initiative of its kind<\/strong> that has the unanimous collaboration of all schools in the municipality. <\/p>\n
