The City Council of Sant Antoni de Portmany has presented the official program of the Patron Saint Festival of Sant Antoni 2026<\/strong>, which will take place between January 9 and February 17<\/strong>, consolidating as one of the major axes of the social and cultural life of the municipality during the winter.<\/p>\n

For more than a month<\/strong>, the municipality will host dozens of activities aimed at all audiences and ages<\/strong>, combining tradition, culture, music, sports and gastronomy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The presentation was led by the mayor of Sant Antoni de Portmany, Marcos Serra<\/strong>, and the Councillor for Education, Culture and Heritage, Eva Prats<\/strong>, who stressed the inclusive and participatory nature of a program designed for both the local population and for those visiting the island in low season.<\/p>\n

Super Flower and urban culture<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The celebrations will kick off on Friday, January 9<\/strong> with children’s activities in the Passeig de ses Fonts<\/strong>, followed by an afternoon dedicated to urban culture with the Sananfresh Hiphop Party<\/strong> and a new session of the Zin\u00e8tic film series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most anticipated moments will come on Saturday, January 10<\/strong>, with the celebration of the Super Flower<\/strong>, which will fill the Passeig de ses Fonts with hippy atmosphere, market, shows and music throughout the day. The day will also include the Mini Flower<\/strong>, designed for children, as well as DJ sessions until the evening<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

That same weekend will be held the FlowerFreak in the Espai Jove<\/strong>, while on Sunday January 11<\/strong> will take place the Festival del balls, m\u00fasica i can\u00e7\u00f3 popular<\/strong>, which reaches its 43rd edition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The day of Sant Antoni, epicenter of tradition<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The most traditional events will be concentrated around the day of Sant Antoni, on January 17.<\/strong> The day will include the solemn mass and procession<\/strong>, the blessing of animals<\/strong>, the exhibition of ball pag\u00e8s<\/strong> and the popular tasting of fritters and local wine<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In addition, there will be a children’s fair<\/strong>, various sports activities<\/strong> and the musical event El Parip\u00e9 Tardeo<\/strong>, which will close the holiday at the market Passeig de ses Fonts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a prelude, on Friday, January 16<\/strong> will be held the festival of Sant Antoni<\/strong>, with concerts by the flamenco group Soniquete (<\/strong> 19 h) and the Ibizan group Esta me la s\u00e9 (<\/strong> 21 h), both in the Passeig de ses Fonts.<\/p>\n

A diverse cultural program with novelties<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The cultural offer will have a prominent role throughout the festivities, with exhibitions, literary presentations, theater, concerts and screenings of the Zin\u00e8tic program at the Cine Regio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the main novelties, Councilwoman Eva Prats highlighted the exhibition of the Can\u00e7oner de les Pitiusas<\/em><\/strong>, a traveling project promoted by the Institut d’Estudis Eivissencs and the Obra Cultural Balear<\/strong>. ” The exhibition includes audio guides, old photographs and audiovisual material, a very interesting proposal to keep alive our roots and our music,”<\/strong> said Prats.<\/p>\n

The cultural program also includes the presentation of the book El lenguaje de las ondas<\/em>, by Ram\u00f3n Mayol (January 22)<\/strong>, the theatrical performance ** Jutjats de Pau, judicis pendents<\/em>, by Grup de Teatre des Mol\u00ed (February 1)**, and the cycle Ones de Llum (January 24)<\/strong>, which combines classical music concerts and visual projections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Gastronomy and sports as major attractions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the gastronomic field, the Concurs Mundial J\u00fanior d’Arr\u00f2s de Matances<\/strong> and the XIII Campionat Mundial d’Arr\u00f2s de Matances<\/strong> stand out, one of the most awaited events on the island<\/strong>, which will be held on Saturday, February 7<\/strong> and will bring together culinary tradition, festive atmosphere and a high level of participation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sport will also play an important role with competitions in mountain biking, karate, judo, petanque and popular marches<\/strong>, as well as the presentation of the Premis de l’Esport de Sant Antoni de Portmany 2025<\/strong>, scheduled for January 31 at the Cine Regio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Solidarity, environment and popular events<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The program is completed with numerous social and participatory activities, such as the Festival Solidari to benefit ASPANOB (January 18)<\/strong>, the musical Paella (January 25)<\/strong>, the walk ‘Anem de lluna i mirem-nos sa flor’ (January 30)<\/strong>, the XXII Deep cleaning of the bay of Portmany (February 1)<\/strong>, the Sant Antoni Rural and the lunch tribute to the elderly (February 8)<\/strong>, as well as the XVII Day of cleaning in sa Talaia (February 15)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Fiestas Patronales de Sant Antoni 2026<\/strong> will conclude with the Carnival of Portmany<\/strong>, putting the finishing touch to more than a month of celebrations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
