The Eivissa Town Hall’s Youth Music Festival<\/strong> will celebrate its third edition<\/strong> in 2026, consolidating itself as a cultural and educational proposal of reference aimed at children and young people of the island<\/strong>, with a program that combines musical workshops and educational concerts<\/strong> adapted to different ages.<\/p>\n

The proposal will run from January 18 to March 22, 2026<\/strong>, with activities scheduled almost every Sunday and a total of 12 proposals<\/strong> designed for participants aged 0 to 18 years<\/strong>, betting on music as a tool for personal, creative and emotional growth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A cultural and educational commitment of the Eivissa Town Hall<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Festival M\u00fasica Joven<\/strong> is organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Eivissa<\/strong> and coordinated by the pianist and teacher Elvira Ramon<\/strong>, responsible for the artistic and pedagogical direction of the project since its first edition.<\/p>\n

The initiative was born in 2024<\/strong> with the aim of bringing music to young people in a close, playful and adapted to each stage of development<\/strong>, and was consolidated in 2025<\/strong> thanks to the good reception of the public.<\/p>\n

Music as a tool for personal growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Councilor for Culture of the City of Eivissa, Carmen Dom\u00ednguez<\/strong>, stressed that the Youth Music Festival represents a “clear commitment” to cultural and musical education from childhood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“We understand music as a fundamental tool for personal, creative and emotional growth, and we want children and young people in the city to have access to quality proposals, designed specifically for them,”<\/strong> remarked Dom\u00ednguez.<\/p>\n

Free workshops and educational concerts<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The program of this third edition combines free musical workshops<\/strong>, with prior registration, and educational concerts<\/strong> with a symbolic price of 5 euros<\/strong>, to control the capacity.<\/p>\n

The activities will take place mainly in the facilities of the Patronato Municipal de M\u00fasica de Eivissa<\/strong> and the Espai Cultural Can Ventosa<\/strong>, and are designed to discover music through direct experience, play, movement, voice, rhythm and active listening<\/strong>, without the need for prior knowledge.<\/p>\n

Festival begins: January 18<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The festival will kick off on January 18<\/strong> with two proposals. In the morning, the Let’s sing<\/strong> workshop, aimed at children from 18 to 36 months<\/strong>, will offer two sessions in the Sala Petita<\/strong> (from 11.00 to 12.00 h<\/strong> and from 12.00 to 13.00 h<\/strong>), focused on vocal experimentation and musical play. <\/p>\n

In the afternoon, at 6 p.m.<\/strong>, Can Ventosa<\/strong> will host the educational concert Las hadas de los sue\u00f1os (The Fairies of Dreams)<\/strong>, a proposal for families from 3 years<\/strong> of age that combines music, movement and fantasy.<\/p>\n

February programming: rhythm, voice and musical sensitivity<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On February 1,<\/strong> the festival will continue with the Pin Pon… \u00a1a cantar!<\/strong> workshop for children from 3 to 6 years old<\/strong>, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon<\/strong> in the Sala Petita. In the afternoon, rhythm will be the protagonist with the Batucando<\/strong> workshop, with two age groups: from 5 to 6 p.m.<\/strong> for children from 8 to 11 years old<\/strong> and from 6 to 7:30 p.m.<\/strong> for young people from 12 to 18 years old.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

On February 8,<\/strong> the Musi Flauta<\/strong> workshop will be offered, with a session for children from 0 to 3 years old (<\/strong> from 11.00 to 12.00 h<\/strong>) and another one for children from 4 to 7 years old<\/strong> (from 12.30 to 13.30 h<\/strong>), also in the Sala Petita.<\/p>\n

On February 15,<\/strong> the Musical Sensitization<\/strong> workshop will take place, aimed at children from 0 to 3 years of age<\/strong>, with two sessions in Classroom 5<\/strong>, focused on the sound and sensory experience shared with families.<\/p>\n

A double day on February 22<\/strong><\/h2>\n

February 22<\/strong> will be a day with a double program. In the morning, the Sala Petita will host Tararea<\/strong>, an immersive musical proposal for children from 0 to 3 years old<\/strong>, with two sessions (from 11.00 to 12.00 h<\/strong> and from 12.30 to 13.30 h<\/strong>), inspired by Edwin Gordon’s Music Learning Theory<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In the afternoon, at 6 p.m.<\/strong>, Can Ventosa<\/strong> will offer the didactic concert The Little Neighbor<\/strong>, a proposal for ages 6<\/strong> and up that combines live music, narration and live painting, freely inspired by El Petit Pr\u00edncep<\/em>.<\/p>\n

March: choral singing, body percussion, and film music<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On March 8<\/strong>, the festival proposes the workshop Canta, canta,<\/strong> for children from 6 to 11 years old<\/strong>, with two sessions in the Sala Petita. In the afternoon, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>, the BSO Choir<\/strong> workshop will be held, aimed at young people from 12 to 18 years old<\/strong>, focusing on choral singing based on film soundtracks. <\/p>\n

On March 15,<\/strong> music and the body will be the protagonists with the Body Percussion<\/strong> workshop, which will be offered in three consecutive age groups in the Sala Petita: from 5 to 6 p.m.<\/strong> for children from 5 to 7 years old<\/strong>, from 6 to 7 p.m.<\/strong> for boys and girls, and from 7 to 8 p.m.<\/strong> for young people from 12 to 18 years old.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Closing of the festival on March 22<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The festival will close on March 22<\/strong> with the educational concert Les BSO molen<\/strong>, at 6 p.m.<\/strong> at Can Ventosa<\/strong>, a proposal for ages 10<\/strong> and up that invites the public to discover how film music builds emotions and gives meaning to images.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participation of music and education professionals<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This third edition will count with the participation of musicians and professionals of wide trajectory<\/strong>, among them Maite Due\u00f1as, Luc\u00eda Herranz, Roc\u00edo Osuna, \u00darsula Pomar, Elvira Ramon, Andr\u00e9s Bretel, David Romano, Aniko Pusztai, Isabel Albaladejo, Valentina Pugliese, Pere Ballesteros, Bartomeu Tur<\/strong> and the vocal quartet Sonora<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A space for family and intergenerational gatherings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Finally, the Councilor for Culture stressed that the Youth Music Festival “not only promotes interest in music, but creates spaces for intergenerational and family meetings, strengthens the local cultural fabric and helps to form critical and sensitive audiences from an early age.<\/strong><\/p>\n
